No? Ok,
So, basically, a darkling is a corrupted star darling, (pun on darling if you noticed)
Here's how it works,
When a star darling feels an extreme amount of negativity, it eventually builds up and possesses their wish pendent, once they are full of negative energy, they have the same wish, but they make it come true in a more evil way, (example, Astra's wish is to be the most famous sports star and to win at everything, if she was evil, she'll probably achieve that by cheating and hurting anyone who gets in the way,)most of the time they get on rancora's side, and she uses them for her evil plan, but fails,
