Jungkook's eyes shot open.
The empty clinic scene was quiet,and seemingly..eerie.Until he heard muffled,soft speaking from the otherside of a door.
"The...failed.I'm sorry but .... . He's.... ."He couldn't hear everything clearly,and the man was speaking too softly.
Another voice,louder and more recognisable,spoke up as confusion stirred up in Jungkook."No,no way.He can't..Is this a joke?A fucking sick j-joke?"
Another voice."No,no no no,he can't have. Please tell me he isn't.Please,please, Joonie you promised,you promised he wouldn't leave me.You promised."Joon?
"Jinnie,baby.I-I'm sorry."Jungkook felt his heart clench as he pushed his way into the room,eyes teary.Who's gone?Why is Jin.. crying?
"What do you m-mean...?"Jungkook breathed out,and Jin immediately burrowed his head into Namjoon's chest while sobbing softly.The doctor,who was the other man,shook his head sadly before leaving the room to give them space.
"Tae- Taehyung he,he's gone,Jungkook." Namjoon choked out, "Taehyung,he's gone. The operation,it f-failed."
F...Failed...?Operation??
Since when did Tae even go in for an operation?Was I sleeping..?
"No,no,no..Taehyung,he-My baby wouldn't just leave like that."Jungkook squeaked out in a small yet strong voice,"L-Liar,you must be lying.All of you are lying!"He cried.
But it was obvious.No one would dare lie about such a thing,especially Jungkook's baby boy and Jin's brother.No one. Especially not Jin himself.Not Namjoon.
"Shut up,it's all a lie."Jungkook's voice broke into a soft whisper,falling to the ground."He pr-promised.He promised that he wouldn't leave me ever,d-didn't you, Taehyung?"He muttered,chest hurting as he felt tears choke him up."You told me that we would be forever t-together!"
Namjoon stared at him through blurry eyes, Jin sobbing almost silently into the now wet fabric.
"Taehyung please,please come back.I'll... I'll get you everything.Please."Jungkook called,even though he knew no one would reply.He wasn't coming back."Tae,baby, I'll even wear that st-stupid,"he chuckled dryly,"sweater with rainbows you wanted us to wear t-together.I'll get you that huge plushie you w-wanted that I said was too..too e-expensive..!"
Silence.
"Taehyung,baby boy,please!Come back! You don't deserve this,you don't.."
Everyone in the room knew that it was the end.
Taehyung wasn't coming back,their baby was returning.The little sunshine,the small ball of happiness..Gone.All gone.
Kim Taehyung,he was dead.
Jungkook cried even harder,if it was possible.
"Come back,I can't live without you.."
