Chapter 33: Arlan Vs Duke

(A/N: Here it is, I hope that you enjoyed the last chapter, and again sorry for the long wait, I hope that you enjoy this chapter as much as the last and I will try and drag the duel out a bit so that it isn't too short. Now on with the chapter.)

Your sitting in your room preparing for your duel when you hear Roland over the tannoy.

Roland: (Will all finalists please report to the main hall as it is time to announce the next finalists that will be duelling.

As you pick up your deck a card falls out, Mai sees it and picks it up.

Mai: Chaos Dragon?

Y/N: It is my little surprise for when I duel Kaiba, coz he is like Chaos Max but he switches everything into defence and then puts the defence to  zero and he inflicts battle damage equal to his attack, so essentially when he and chaos max are on the field then its game over for my opponent but I have never been able to draw him into my hand in time to use him.

Mai: You will y/n. You just have to believe in yourself as much as I believe in you.

Mai kisses you making you smile.

Roland: (will Mai Valentine and Y/N L/N please report to the main hall as everyone is waiting for you.

Y/N: Lets go before they get impatient.

Mai: Yeah lets go.

You and Mai walk down the hallway and enter the main hall. And you join up with the others.

Roland: Right, I will activate the randomiser so it can select the next two finalists to duel.

The machine starts and a ball comes out.

Roland: Number 14 Arlan Hanson.

Y/n: Looks like your up to duel. I pity your opponent whoever the poor sod is.

Arlan: Well either way it is gonna be a fun duel.

Y/N: Too right Arlan.

You fist bump while Ishizu and Mai smile. (Yes Ishizu is there, I know she normally spends most of her time in her room but I thought that it would be better if she was in it a little more than in the anime.)

Arlan walks up to Ishizu and she gives him a kiss.

Ishizu: good luck Arlan, go beat your opponent.

Arlan: I will.

Roland: I will now start the machine again.

The balls go round the machine as it spits out another.

Roland: Number 13, Duke Devlin.

Y/N: huh when did you find time to enter Duke.

Duke: Just because you didn't see my duels doesn't mean I didn't duel and get all my locator cards.

Y/N: Fair enough.

Roland: Will Duke Devlin and Arlan Hanson please report to the duel arena.

(A/N: I have given Duke Devlin a different deck to the one he uses in the anime and he will be using it permanently)

*** Flashback ***

You and Arlan are in your room meditating.

Y/N: Right Arlan close your eyes and focus what you wanna do is control your psychic abilities so that you don't end up blowing your opponent away, literally.

Arlan: I know, but it is hard I wish I had those things that helped Akiza control her powers.

Y/N: Don't be a fool Arlan, you know how that turned out, it only made it worse for Akiza when those things in her hair came out her power went out of her control and ended up hurting a lot of people.
