"Buck?"

Steve knocked on Bucky's door, earning a hum from his best pal who was writing on his red notebook that had a design of a star. He continued scribbling what he needed to write, never minding Steve's patriotic ass who barged in his room looking dapper in his suit.

He gave his buddy some distance, knowing well that Bucky didn't want anybody nor Steve to have a glimpse of his diary. Sure, they were best friends, but sometimes. We all need something private that could be kept as a secret on our own.

Steve looked around Bucky's room. Noting how it was untouch and still how he saw it was last year ago. Nothing new. "You writing again?"

Bucky gave a nonchalant nod, still focused on his notes. "Yeah. Don't wanna forget about the most important things in my life, Pal." He gave a forced smile, writing the last words. "Her name was Y/N." Before he began grinning to himself.

To which his sudden bright gesture didn't go unnoticed by Steve. His blue eyes trained at the man sitting in front of his study table. Steve could feel that something was going weird with his best friend, and he won't stop till he could get truthful answers from him. Yet, he could feel who was behind Bucky's smiles. "Why? Did something good happened?"

Bucky's lips grew wider at the thought of you, he was acting like a high schooler again despite that he was already thirty years old, soon turning thirty one. His heart beat began to quicken at the image of your face that was imprinted inside his brain. God, was he a sucker for you and it waa scaring him because the way his heart is beating was abnormal and different. The great but worrying kind of different, he sighed, closing his eyes in frustration. His mind was conflicted, and indistinct and it was making him mad.

"Not something, someone." He spoke very calmly, sounding like waves on a shore. At that response, Steve's ears perked in curiousity even though he could guess the answer by now.
