"Two years ago in Aspen Colorado, forty one year old Trisha Williams and her two sons, fourteen year old Matt and sixteen year old Cody were found mutilated in their family home. The boys were both shot execution style however the mom was found with twelve bullet wounds to the chest before finally shooting her execution style. There was DNA found at the scene but it didn't match any DNA in the system. The local police had no solid leads and the trail went cold" Garcia spoke, the pictures of the victims and the crime scene were portrayed on the TV as well as in the files that were given to each team member.
"Two days ago, forty two year old Jessica Ramos was found along with her two sons, fifteen year old Jeremy and seventeen year old Caleb were found in the garage of their home, both boys were found suffocated by a pillow, while the mother had fourteen stab wounds to the chest before being shot through the heart. Local police believe that it's the same unsub that murdered the Williams'" Garcia said, the horrified look on her face as she read through the case file. Each member of the team slowly looked at their newest member who closely examined the case file.
"What makes them think that it's the same unsub when theres two completely different MO's?" Reid finally asks, taking eyes away from Destiny."The bullets used to kill the Williams family is an exact match as the bullet that killed Jessica Ramos" Destiny said, holding up the pictures of the bullets.
"These bullets are from a Colt Python which is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver" she said, pointing at the bullets.
"Each time a bullet is fired through the barrel of a gun, it creates an imprint on the bullet, it's pretty much a forensic fingerprint except it's on the bullet""The thing with these guns are they're no longer being manufactured so it's going to be pretty hard to find out who owns the gun. It's been nearly twelve years since they were discontinued, not many gun stores in the country really cared to check gun licenses and a lot of them only took cash" she finished, looking at the group who were staring at her with wide eyes.
"What?" She asked."How did you know that?" Garcia said as she pulled up the photo of the logistic test confirming that the bullets came from the same gun, a Colt Python.
"My best friends dad was a cop, when I used to go over there he always tried to convince me that I should become one. When I lost my family, he lost his only daughter. So he took me in and taught me everything I knew, he got lung cancer when I was eighteen, it was pretty bad, and he made me promise to find the son of a bitch who killed our families. He died a month after he was diagnosed. Since then I've made it my priority to know anything and everything that could be useful. Including the logistics of a bullet" she said, her voice sad and the color drained from her skinned as she talked about her past.
"Local PD has handed the case over to us. Wheels up in thirty"
