THREE | FAMILY
It happened slowly, but it happened. Here they were. My family. All of the remaining ones. Now, I knew for sure that I had the best and most loving aunt in the world. I cannot believe she would put so much effort into something like this. I knew it was dangerous, but it was my family.
My eyes went wide, and a tear slipped down. They were as beautiful as I pictured them. "Oh my god..." I murmured under my breath as Rebekah placed a gentle hand on my shoulder. Looking up at her, I saw her eyes watery due to the reunion. She nodded towards the three people that I have been waiting to see my whole life.
My mother, Hayley, had tears in her eyes just by looking at me. It was weird, I look nothing like her, but by looking at my father I could tell I fit into the family well. He had the same blonde hair and blue eyes as me, making my heart clench at the resemblance. Of course I've seen them before, in visions and magic spells, but their faces weren't as clear and nothing comparable to real life. I only had a couple pictures of them, and even that was fuzzy.
Taking large steps towards the woman who gave birth to me, and placed my arms around her waist as I hugged the life out of her. I've been waiting for this day for as long as I could remember, and now, it was finally happening.
"Hey mommy..." I breathed into her ear, earning a shiver in return from the closeness. But she didn't seem to mind, and took in the words I had spoken to her. Letting out a silent cry, she held me tighter, fearing if she let go I'll disappear.
She pulled back first, wiping her tears away quickly before placing both her hands at either side of my face, "God, you're so beautiful." She then proceeded to place a gentle kiss on my forehead, turning me to where my father is standing.
There, he stood tall and proud. You would think that he's a tough guy, and what from I've heard, he is. But right now, his eyes were filled with tears as he took my facial appearances in. Breathing heavily, he brought me into his arms roughly, but not rough enough to cause any pain, and caressed my hair softly as his chin rested on my head. He was taller than me, most of the people I knew where. I was standing short and proud at only five feet one, but I didn't mind. That meant that I could wear heels as I pleased.
"Hey daddy," I whispered into his chest, lowly, but I knew that he could hear me. He pulled back, much as mother did, but instead of him wiping his tears, he wiped mine and placed his hands on either side of my face. Wow, seemed like they liked doing this. "You look so much like me, sweetheart," He said, it seemed as if he doubted I was actually there, in front of him.
I shrugged, a deep smile erupted on my face, "I know, Remi tells me all the time." He chuckled lightly as my slight english accent flowed through. Most people were confused as to why exactly I had a British accent, but living with someone like Rebekah got me used to it.
He placed a kiss on the crown of my head, and I took the leap of faith (not really) and turned towards the uncle that did everything for me when I was still an infant in mother's womb. I've heard stories about my father and uncle and how they protected us from everything. It was touching, really.
