But I promise the pain will pass,
I had to end it before I broke,
I knew this couldn't last.
I thought that I was angry,
But really it was a lie,
Because I couldn't bare to hurt you,
And I had no tears left to cry.
I know that it was sudden,
But I really couldn't wait,
I know you wanted to try again,
But you cannot change the fate.
I told you I wasn't happy,
But I wasn't going to blame,
Because I know it is impossible,
To convince our hearts to stay the same.
You act like you aren't hurting,
But I know it's all just lies,
You play it off like you're stronger than this,
But there's a heart behind that disguise.
So please open up to someone,
Because I'm scared you'll knock yourself down,
So I told that girl who loves you,
To make you happy and always be around.
You probably thought I hated her,
And you probably thought I hated you,
But I blamed you because I was scared to admit...
That I fell for someone else too.
