and round,

"goodness, where the hell have you been?"

my eyes shot open but my mouth was held tight, as my hands shivered at his tone again. i chanted continuous denials in my head, breaking down into an unlimited amount of nervous sweat.

slowly sitting up to meet the eyes of what i considered the scariest of all, his void-filled eyes that held no stars, but pits of magma and fiery burnt forests. his look itself was the embodiment of a nightmare, his presence itself as a dilemma.

"what did i tell you about going home around these times?" his voice got lower as it dragged along his sanity, eyes twitching and hands trembling, hands that held the neck of the love of his life.

"i-i'm sorry," the waterfalls came out of my eyes again, and the sunflowers were stuffed into my mouth. the darkness of knowledge about what was going to occur next haunted me and wrapped around me like a blanket.
