'Ring, Ring! ' The blaring sound of the alarm pierces through my deep sleep.
I grumble as my hands push away the alarm off the lamp desk.
I groan, realizing that I had just damaged an alarm given to me by Winnie.
This was the fifteenth alarm damaged, all by me.
Sluggishly, I stand up from the king-sized bed, pushing off the heavy duvets off my body.
I make my way towards the bathroom. I was late for work already.
Staring into the mirror in the bathroom, I smile as I imagined Winnie playing with my hair.
In fifteen minutes, I'm done in the bathroom and I begin to dress up.
My phone rings as I button up my white shirt.
'Who calls so early? ' I thought as I picked up my phone. It was Agent Stan calling. It must be about the girls.
"Hello" I said
"Good morning Sir" Stan replies
"Yes, morning, found anything yet? " I asked
"Yes Sir" He replies
"Wait, you found their location or what? " I asked anxiously
"Yes Sir, a trail was picked up yesterday night and we found out their exact location. They boarded a flight to Mexico and lodged at an hotel called Rosewood Hotel, the popular Hôtel de Crillon. An unknown source sent some information to us which really helped us" He explained
"Fantastic " I said, excitedly
"But why are you telling all these just this morning and does Steven know about it already? " I asked
"We were told that you were discharged yesterday evening so we decided to wait till this morning before telling you in order to avoid stressing you and yes, Sir Steven has been told already" He says
"Okay, thanks, I'll be with you guys soon" I said
"Yes sir" He says, cutting off the call
I beam with joy at the news but 'an unknown source ' helped. That leaves series of questions hanging on my mind.
Hurriedly, I slip on a silver watch and pick up my briefcase as I walked downstairs.
The door to my sleek red car is opened by my chauffeur.
"I need to get to 'our place' first" I say to the chauffeur who nods with a knowing look on his face.
Within forty-five minutes, I arrive at our place and head towards my office.
Steven was already there, saying he's been there since yesterday.
"Hey, you look stressed" I said, slapping him playfully on his back before settling down into one of the chairs.
"Do I? Its you who looks like that. I am always fit and alert " He says, yawning slightly
"Oh, I see, all charged up" I said, offering him a drink.
"So, Rosewood Hotel. Fancy choice, right? " He says
"Yes, it shows that he's scared of flopping their plan" I said, grinning with pleasure
"The boys said its located high in the mountains of Central Mexico and loaded with heavy security " He says with a tone of seriousness
"But I don't think it would be all that difficult or tasking to seep through the security " I said, taking another sip from my drink.
"We might become handicapped, who knows. Their security system is top notch. We should strategize really well" He says and I nod in agreement to his opinion.
"Yeah, you are right, they are tricky " I said as messages fill up the screen of my phone.
They are all from the office.
Mark was there, in my office.
"Man, I got to go, Mark's waiting " I said, standing up and picking up one or two things from the table.
"Yeah, bye and be careful with him" He says
"Thanks man and don't forget to freshen up. You scent like you've had your bath thrice today" I say
"Thanks" He smiles and then stops for a while to register what I just said.
His face fixes into a pained-funny expression as he bursts into laughter.
I guess he just realized.
"Fuck you! " He says
"You already did" I said, laughing hard.
"Ew, gross. Just leave already " He says, mimicking Olive.
"I hope Mark spanks your ass real hard" He says
"Bye and take my advice " I said before closing the door amidst smiles because I'm sure that I heard Steven asking the boys if he was really smelly and why they kept mute about it.
I laughed hard before entering the car.
He's so pained.
Decided to write this part on a more lighter mood. Nathan deserves a little bit of happiness even if he's going through shitty stuff.
