Just laying there
Lifeless
A hole planted directly on her back.
A hole made by a tyrant
A monster
A mech who caused this damned war
Megatron.
The very mech who retreated when the Autobots started winning the battle.
But he did not leave without making an impact..
Chase sank to his knees when he approached her lifeless body. He reached out and touched her.
She was cold. Very cold.
No pulse
Just silence
Chase finally broke. The tears he had held back coming out as neverending waterfalls.
He cried into her cold and lifeless chest.
"Oh God please no!", he wailed, "You can't do this!"
He sobbed, "You can't leave us!"
"You can't leave me!"
His sobbing never ceased but his outcries began to quiet down, "please..."
"I can't live without you..."
His children, their children, Blurr and Quickshadow, approached their father and embraced him.
The rescue team mourned in silence
Each member wanting to say something
But to no avail...
Everyone weeped
Chase looked up to the sky with tears in his optics
"Please...", he said
"Don't take her away..."
