I felt the life slowly ebbing out of my body, my blood pooling around my head like a glimmering halo of red. The black trees looked as if they were reaching up and calling to the gods to take me away. I tried to reach up as if to let them pull the life out of me but my arms collapsed from blood loss. I heard a tapping in the distance. What is that? I thought. I slowly recognised it to be the tapping of hooves. A centaur came into view. It gently lifted up my body and placed me on its back, then it galloped away to where I assumed it would kill me. Instead I found myself outside Hagrid's Hut. "Thank you, Firenze. I'll get 'er to the Infirmary." I heard Hagrid's gruff voice say and then everything went black.
