Starting school is of course nerve racking. Especially when the year is almost over. But when you have an awesome brother like I do, it's not half as bad. I pulled down the plain white singlet I was wearing and brushed my hands over my high-wasted shorts. Okay, so I was still a little nervous.

"Do I look... I don't know, decent?" I asked Daniel as we walked along the main road. He stopped walking and tilted his head to the left as he surveyed me. I blushed slightly and bit my lip. He looked up at me and grinned. "You look beautiful." He told me and I rolled my eyes. "You have to say that, you're my brother." He laughed. "I definitely do not! I just choose to, because it's true." My heart beat increased as we continued to walk.

We'd chosen to come today - the first Monday - because we'd decided that it's better the earlier. We don't know why, we just did. I hadn't gotten around to asking Katie if she attended Georgia High, and so for now I knew no one there. Apart from Danny. Who makes up for it.

"My flats are hurting." I complained to him and her rolled his eyes at me. Like sister like brother, I suppose. "Come here then, I'll carry you." He told me and I laughed, cutting short when I realized he was serious. "No, you don't have to." I shook my head and he shrugged, squatting down on the concrete. "Hope on my back. I'll piggy back you." I jumped on him, knowing he wouldn't give up, and we continued our way to school.

It was big, that was for sure. And it looked like there were quite a few students that attend here. I shrugged subconsciously. I'm just glad we don't have set uniforms. "We're here baby cheeks." I groaned. "Don't use that nickname in front of anyone, please?" I asked Danny and he laughed. "We'll see." Apparently, my brothers think I have baby cheeks. Which I don't.

We made our way to the office where Daniel - much to my annoyance - let me down after we had received weird and curious looks from both students and what seemed to be teachers. "Hi miss, we're new here." My brother told the office lady and she smiled. "Awesome. My names Ms Perrie, but you can just call me Lisa." She seemed perky. She reminds me of Katie. "Okay, thanks. Well this is Anameika, but she prefers Anna." The lady smiled at me. "Nice to meet you, Anna." She told me and I nodded. "You too. This is Daniel. He prefers Dan." I grinned at him and he rolled his eyes.

"Right. Anameika and Daniel Steal. So, here's your schedules, I think you both mostly have the same classes." I was happy with that information. "You have the choice of your locker numbers." She looked at us expectantly and I immediately turned to Daniel. He was looking at me. Funny how we're always thinking the same. He turned back to the lady and smiled. "You can put us together?" She grinned.

Fifteen minutes of wondering around, the halls had been emptied six minutes ago when the bell had rung, and we'd only just found our lockers. "Finally." Danny grinned at me and I smiled. "Agreed." We emptied our books in our lockers from our book bags, riding of the heavy weight. We were done seven minutes later, and only then did I realize we were late... On our first day.

"Oh well." Was Daniel's great concern. "We're already late, so how about you show me your schedule so I can compare?" I nodded and tossed him my paper. After a minute or two he announced we indeed have all the same classes. "Sweet." I smiled, relieved that I had him here with me. I doubt I'd be able to do it alone, I'd be too nervous. I'm a scardy cat sometimes.

We grabbed our Algebra books from our lockers and headed off to the back area of the building. "We're really late." Daniel said, as though he only just realized. "Yeah." I agreed as we finally came to the right door. "Here it is, M6." He nodded and knocked on the door before pushing it open. Everyone's attention was instantly on us.

"Oh! You must be Daniel, yes? And is that Anameika behind you? Come on in, guys!" Wow, everybody is happy in this school. Why? "Yes sir, sorry we're late sir." Daniel told him with respect. He's such a gentleman. "That's fine dear boy, and please, call me Mr. K!" He nodded and I turned my attention to the students. Of course. Typical teenage school, everybody in clicks. I sighed.
