Why? Because no one really cares.
I'm fine, but I have cried so much I'm out of tears
I'm fine, but I fight everyday to get out of bed
I'm fine, but I try to be strong for others to rely on me
I'm fine, but I yell every day to the voices in my head to shut up.
Why I say I'm fine?
Because you don't care.
I'm fine because you don't see the darkness in my eyes
I'm fine because you can't wait to talk about yourself
I'm fine because you are so absorbed in your life so you don't care of mine
I'm fine because when I came to ask for help you were not there
I'm fine because you broke your promise
I'm fine because you forgot what I said
I'm fine because you don't even try to understand
I'm fine because you believe me to be fine
I'm fine so you will not see me as a problem
I'm fine because it's easier for you and for me
I'm fine because I don't want to raise my expectations that I actually have a friend
I'm fine because that's what you want to hear so you can honestly say you have done your duty
I stopped being fine a long time ago.
