Chapter Four

That night, Catman and his daughter were in bed and he invited me over to the bed and I did just that.

He nuzzled my nose and I playfully kissed him on the cheek.

"You are a kind soul, young one".

I giggled quietly so I wouldn't wake up Catgirl.

The next morning, she was sitting on top of me and was licking my cheek.

"My father wants to show you something".

I yawned and stretched out my arms and followed her outside.

"The rest of the band are on their way here".

Catman told me.

I looked around and saw a golden light appearing before me.

Just then, Starchild, SpaceMan, and Demon arrived on the scene.

"Man, we were all about to miss out on everything".

I could see the shape of the Ankh Warrior.

He was still the same as he was before.

But for some reason, he looked really sad.

"Hi Vinnie".

I cautiously walked up to him, and he looked up at me.

"Who are you"?

"I'm Emily, and you probably know who they are".

I smiled at him and pointed to Gene and Paul, who both looked sad.

"We're very sorry about the way we treated you Vinnie".

The Ankh Warrior accepted their apology and then I struck up a conversation with him.

Catman went inside to run his little kitten a nice, bubble bath.

"Why do you look so sad, Vinnie"?

The tall, skinny man stopped and sat me down on the green bench that was just beside the garden area.

"Please...forgive me..."

I told him that it was okay.

"I was married to this beautiful, kind woman. She was my best friend and we had twin girls together".

His facial expression went from blank, to the point of him about to cry.

I felt the lump in my throat as the Ankh Warrior told me about his past.

"One day, I left the house to go to New York and rehearse with the band KISS, and later on, I got a call from L.A.

My eyes were almost ready to burst into tears.

And so was Vinnie's.

...she was murdered".

Then, he took out a tissue from his pocket and gently wiped off his eyes.

I scooted over closer to him and he let out a few sobs.

"Oh Vinnie..."

And I did what he didn't expect for someone like me to do.

I wrapped my arms around him into a long, loving hug.

Vinnie was very surprised at my kindness, but then he accepted it.

It was something that he hasn't had in a long time.

I even told him that while he was in the band KISS, I had a huge crush on him.

That made the Ankh Warrior so happy, that he bent over and kissed me passionately before pulling me into another hug.

"Ohhh my dear...you've made me feel so alive again".

I giggled and kissed his cheek gently.

It was now getting dark outside, so we both walked inside the Catman's home to join in with the others.
