Healing yourself has got be one of the hardest things in life. After hurt, pain, and every little shit that life will put you through; learning to piece back every bit of your broken self will take a lot of effort. Thing is; books and movies, they sugar coat the journey. They tell you; oh look, you can break yourself no big deal, a guy/girl will come along and tell you you're beautiful/handsome and then poof, you're healed. Your broken pieces are suddenly piecing back. Your broken heart has found it's half. You're suddenly all okay.

But all those; are fucking lies. They screw with your mind; play with your head. Create little voices in your head when in reality; no one is going to save you. No one is going to come along and tell you that you're beautiful/handsome and magically every little thing fell into place.

Amber knew that so well from the bottom of her heart more than anyone she knew. She knew what breaking yourself just to fit into society felt like. She gave away her childhood, her innocence, her purity...everything. Yes, people say that sometimes you need help and support from the people around you to help yourself heal but Amber had no one. She still didn't.

She was alone and she liked it that way but these days; the thoughts kept getting louder. They weren't whispering anymore, they were screaming. They were clawing at her mind. They were laughing at her. They were mocking her. She needed someone just to tell her that it would all go away; but no one did. She had them fooled that her life was this amazing perfect fairytale. A few knew the truth about her life and tried to share it, but she didn't bother, making everyone believe that they were all just rumors when actually; they were real.

The people at school didn't help, her mom didn't help, those men and boys didn't help, and the voices were just killing her mind. She was sick and tired of them, and if they didn't stop....

She would.
