An oddly cheerful man in an ill-fitting brown suit who, Jack thought, bore an uncanny resemblance to the actor David Schwimmer, came through a door down the corridor. He walked with a limp and, when he reached them, introduced himself as Detective Bergfalk. "We're taking Mrs. Ampong down to the hospital to get some tests," he said. "You guys can meet her down there. Just tell them who you're there to visit, and they should be able to take you right back."
"Can I just see my wife?" Jack said. "I've been waiting for over an hour. All I want to do is see my wife." But the detective shook his head.
