as they rushed Will to the hospital. By now Will's body had stopped moving yet his head always shifted in every direction it could.

"Hurry up, Jonathan!" Ms. Byers yelled.

She sat with Mike in the back seat, cradling the small frame of Will Byers. On the mother's demand, the engine roared as the older boy stepped on the gas.

The sound of the car roaring as it went through the streets in a hurry to the hospital made Mike deaf from everything that was happening in the real world.

It was as if he dissolved into thin air and he was floating aimlessly through the empty and white abyss of somewhere he knew nothing of.

Will. Will.

Will. Will.

Will. Will.

The name repeated itself in his head, begging for something, anything, to come into his head to stop him from his trance.

The trauma of seeing Will having a seizure settles in Mike's mind, making the hairs of his body stand.

Sweat dripped from his head, falling down on his palm that rested just on Will's hips, the liquid substance breaking something in him.
