Wow. It's been a minute since I posted here. Anyways, for my final exam in my art class, I figured I would challenge myself. So, I asked my teacher what medium I could use that I hadn't used before, and they suggested white charcoal.
And of course, I accepted. So they gave me a small piece of black paper and a white charcoal pencil and set me to work to figure out what I could do yesterday. Here are the finished results:
My initial "what the hell am I doing" page. Really just a shit ton of doodles meant to let me figure out the finer details.
On the flip side of the paper, I began to experiment with a person, seeing as that is what my final exam is. So, I said screw it, and went about attempting to draw Castiel with his wings. Overall a very entertaining and interesting time.
If anyone has worked with this medium before and would like to give me some pointers, I would love them!
