"What was that about?" Hermione asked with a raised eyebrow when Harry came into the compartment beet red.
He shut the door and sat down on the cushioned seat. "Nothing. I got him to go away that's all." He mumbled trying to hide his blush unsuccessfully.
Hermione rolled her eyes and sighed, "If you say so." She grabbed a chocolate frog and opened it.
Ron was stuffing his face with Pumpkin Pasties and not really paying attention. He gestured at the teacher in the corner, "Who do you reckon that is?" He asked with his mouth full.
Hermione made a face at him and rolled his eyes, "R. J. Lupin." She said confidently.
Ron swallowed his food and looked at her indignantly, "How do you know everything?"
"It's on his case." She rolled her eyes once more and gestured at a rugged looking case held together with tons of spello tape.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were chatting quietly when the train jolted and began to slow. The lights on the whole train extinguished and the temperature dropped a significant amount. Their breaths came out in clouds and Harry got up peeking out of the train, "Why'd we stop?" He asked.
"Maybe we've gotten to school?" Suggested Ron.
Hermione shook her head, "No we can't be... Harry where do you think you're going?" She stared at the raven scar headed boy in confusion as he began to exit the compartment.
"I'm going to see what exactly is happening," Harry replied and walked down the hall. It was pitch dark so he was feeling his way the best he could. He collided with someone and they both grunted. "Who..?" Asked Harry. The cold was sinking into his very being.
"Oh, hey Potter." A familiar voice said. It was Draco Malfoy.
When Harry didn't respond Draco frowned and felt around, "Potter?" He asked. His eyes adjusted a bit more to the dark and he saw Harry rigid and staring at a large big black cloaked thing.... a Dementor. Harry's knees turned to jelly and he collapsed towards the floor. Without thinking, Draco lunged and managed to catch him before he hit the floor. "Potter!" He gulped not feeling too well either and then the cold began to disappear as the thing left. Harry lay in Draco's arms unconscious. He heaved him up and managed to drag him back to the compartment he knew his friends were in and when he entered he was met with bewildered stares.
"What the bloody hell??" Ron asked.
"He fainted. Dementor." Draco grunted and dumped him on the seat beside Lupin who was now awake. "Bye." He quickly left before anyone could ask him another question.
Harry slowly began to stir a few moments later. Hermione was up and beside him in seconds along with Ron, "Harry? Are you alright?" She asked.
Lupin pulled out a chunk of chocolate as Harry sat up and shoved it at him, "Here. Have some chocolate. It will help." He smiled kindly.
Harry took the chocolate and winced groaning a bit, "What happened?"
"You tell us. Draco hauled you in." Ron replied.
"...What?" Blushed Harry in embarrassed confusion. "What do you mean? Why would he do that?"
"...I don't know. You and he are acting very odd you know." Hermione pointed out sounding awfully suspicious.
Harry internally panicked. He couldn't let anyone know how he felt about Draco yet. He didn't even understand it himself. He took a deep breath and shook his head play acting bewilderment, "I have no idea either, Hermione."
"I haven't poisoned it. The chocolate I mean." Lupin interrupted the conversation. He had seemed to sense the awkward avoidance and so he jumped in.
Harry silently thanked him and took a bite from the hunk of chocolate. Immediately he felt warmth spreading throughout his body. The chocolate did help quite a lot. He then stared out the rain-streaked windows of the train as they pulled into the Hogwarts station.
