Noah:

I Finish my training at almost noon. I changed in my jeans and tee when chad walked in the lockers “Hey… we are eating lunch with the team as a little farewell party for me,  wanna come?” He asked with a half smile, he accepted the Harvard offer and he was moving to boston next month, June, to ‘adapt’, even if classes actually started on august,  but i was not going to argue on his logic and eagerness to be there.

“i..” I frowned and sighed “I can’t,  i gotta go to the hospital” I quickly responded,  Chad rolled his eyes

“You’ve been there every single day whenever you are not in class or training,  cmon, is just one lunch” He asked drying his hair with the towel he had hanging in his shoulder

“I’m sorry,  I can’t let her wake up and not see me” I simply answer getting annoyed with him

“C’mon Noah,  She hasn’t woken up in 3 weeks,  do you think she’ll wake up today?” he asked raising an eyebrow

“Well,  i don’t want to be in your stupid farewell lunch to find out” I say annoyed while putting my shoes on

“Yeah,  right, as if you’re Vegetative Girlfriend is going to miraculously wake up and suddenly everything will be okay” he crossed his arms leaning on the locker and i stood up grabbing him by the shirt and pushing him against the wall

“Watch your mouth,  you insensitive prick” I threaten him and he raises his hands in surrender

“I was just joking,  jeeez… you want to take a chill pill?”

“Fuck you,  Chad” I said letting him go and walking out flipping him off

“Whatever,  you’re just jealous that you’re not going to Harvard” He said rolling his eyes and i started laughing

“Grow up Chad,  Stop feeling so fucking special about going there,  If i wanted to I’d be there, They’ll take you as a consolation prize since i didn’t accept to go” I shrugged I left the place. I walked to my car and sighed when i sat down. I drove to the hospital a new route i knew very well by now

Chris and i have been taking turns to come to the hospital,  he patted my back before sighing “good luck this afternoon” he said with bag in his eyes,  this past weeks have been terrible, we haven’t eat properly, sleep, or even study. All we do is come here and wait for a miracle to happen.

Her family had to leave back to L.A,  but her mother begged us to call her as soon as Valerie woke up to grab a plane and see her. I offered her to stay in my house,  even though is full of college boys, but she had to work and she couldn’t take more days off, until Valerie wakes up, if she does.

I guess this will be another day at the hospital,  seeing Valerie peacefully sleeping. I wonder What could be on her mind right now… has she listened to all of the things we’ve said in that room. Is she in pain?

My mind is flooded with thought as i am sitting next to her holding her hand as i tell her about what i did last night when i left and how it went this morning at training. Don’t know if she’s listening,  but if she is, at least she’s not bored in this terrible terrible room.

I take a moment to just look at her face,  he long lashes rest on her cheeks beautifully,  and there is almost no scars from the cuts she had in her face from the accident. Most of the machines have been taken out of her body and she only has a little hosepipe under her nose to assure she’s getting enough oxygen.

She looks so much better than 3 weeks ago and yet she hasn’t woken up.
