Nature is not cruel
As most think.
In reality,
Her sons are the ones
Who cause our woes.
Disease and Time
Ware men down
So the eldest, Death
May easily take them.
Fear removes man's walls
That keep out Hatred and Anger.
They make one's heart
Cold and black
And then burn the people around them
Envy, Greed, and Grief
Twist men's minds
And shape them to their will;
Then let them run free
Pain the cruelest of Nature's sons
Distorts all aspects of man's being.
Pain can make one beg his siblings
To steal him away.
