Being married to Ivar would include...

- Being married to Ivar would make you see sides of him, that you didn't even believe were there

- In the first few days of your marriage, he would make it clear to assure you that no matter what he did to others, you would never have to fear him

- You were his Queen and he promised to you that if you chose him you would never have to fear anyone

- Yet he wouldn't take a risk. Wherever you would go, he made sure that some of his soldiers would have an eye on you

- If you needed anything, you would only have to tell him and you could be sure that he would take care of it

- But Ivar would expect complete loyality from you

- He would do anything for you, as long as you would support him and be by his side no matter what

- You would soon come across the fact, that even though Ivar did certainly not need mercy, he wouldn't turn down small acts of reassurance every now and then

- After a long day you would often massage his shoulders, silently taking off some of the pressure that built up during the day

- You would listen to him when he would mumble about different strategies at night, knowing, that he usually didn't need an answer but simply to see that you were there if he did

- Ivar and you would make each other feel safe and secure about themselves, even if it were different ways of doing so

- He openly protected you and would show affection when the two of you were alone

- You showed him that you were by his side. That you knew about his struggles, though that you would never pity him, but face them together with him

- This is what would make you two strong, this is why you chose each other and why you could always rely on your partner
