It was late
and I was still at school.

I headed to the exit,

my foot steps

e c h o e d

In the empty

and quiet

hallways.

As I reached the exit,

the clear sky was overshadowed
by dark clouds

and then,

it started
to rain.

The silence of the school mixed with

the non-stop

p i t t e r - p a t t e r

made everything sound

relaxing

like a soothing melody

until,

"It's raining pretty hard," a familiar and soft voice interrupted.
