It was Christmas Eve and everyone was excited. It was going to be the first Christmas for Quinn without her dad. Her mom wasn't feeling the holidays this year but she was being brave for her daughter. Quinn was in her room staring at the ceiling. She wanted to call Santana but she knows she's still sleeping and doesn't like to be bothered. Quinn was bored outta her mind. She tried watching something but nothing really interests her. She heard her phone chime and picked it up and saw it was Rachel who texted her.
Rachel: Hey Quinn
Quinn: Hey
Rachel: What you doing?
Quinn: Nun, just bored; waiting for San to wake up
Rachel: Oh, wait a minute she's there?
Quinn: No she's at her house
Rachel: Oh
Quinn: Ready for Christmas?
Rachel: Yeah I'll be going to Shelby's
Quinn: That's your mom right
Rachel: Correct, well I have to start packing, see you
Quinn exited the text and placed her phone back on the nightstand. Quinn was thinking about how crazy it was for Rachel to find out about her mom. Quinn thoughts drifted away and she fell asleep. Quinn was sleeping for almost 4 hours now until she heard her phone ring. She barely opened her eyes and answered the phone.
"Hello," Quinn said in a raspy voice
"Is someone still sleeping?" Santana asked
Quinn smiled hearing her voice
"Let's say I just say I was waiting for you to wake up but then I fell asleep" Quinn said in a soft voice
"Oh, why didn't you just call me?" Santana asked
"I don't like waking you up cause you get feisty" Quinn replied
"Well I was waiting for your call, and yes I was awake because I couldn't get you off my mind so that when I decided to call you," Santana said
"Next time give me a heads up," Quinn said fully awake
"Since you are now awake, get ready," Santana said
"Uh, why?" Quinn confused
"Because I'm taking you out, I'll be there in 10 bye," Santana said then cutting off
Quinn smiled and did what she was asked to. Quinn wore dark blue jeans since it was cold outside. She took a plain white shirt and took her sweater and coat. She went downstairs and waited for her girl.
"Hey, honey where you going?" Judy asked
"I don't know, San just told me to get ready" Quinn shrugged
"Oh okay then, I think she's here," Judy said pointing outside, seeing Santana's car
Quinn opened the door. She came in and gave Mama Fabray a hug
"Have fun girls and please be careful" Judy said
The girls nodded and went to the car.
"So where are we going," Quinn asked
"Dinner" Santana smiled
"Wait a minute, the Santana Lopez is taking me to dinner," Quinn said dramatically
"Don't be so surprised, I wanted to do something different than us just staying home and ordering in and I wanna take my girlfriend out" Santana said still paying attention to the road
"You're so cute" Quinn poked her arm
"Be quiet" Santana smiled
They were driving for another 20 minutes. They had arrived and went into the diner. It looked really expensive Quinn thought.
"Reservation for Lopez," Santana told the clerk
"Right this way" The clerk took them to their table
Santana and Quinn took their seats, "how much was this place" Quinn asked picking up the menu and drinking some water
"Like 95," Santana said causing Quinn to choke on the water
"What?!" Quinn said setting down the water
"Q, it's not that much okay. I wanted to do this because it shows how much I adore you and I love... food" Santana said and almost said 'I love you' but didn't. Quinn was pretty sure that wasn't what she wanted to say.
"I'm never gonna stop saying this, you're the most important person in my life" Quinn looked her lovingly
The girls got their food and talked about next year and shared a few laughs. After they were done they got in the car and noticed it was 11:50 pm.
"10 minutes till Christmas" Quinn squealed, Santana looked at her lovingly. She knew she couldn't have anyone else better than her. That why she decided to say 'I love you' to her. They reached Quinn's house. They got out and went on the porch, Quinn was going in but Santana stopped her.
"What's wrong?" Quinn asked confused
"I uh" Was the only thing Santana said
"What is it," Quinn said
Santana took a deep breath and said: "I love you, Quinn". Quinn looked at her shockingly and smiled.
"I love you too" Quinn putting her arms around Santana's waist
They both smiled and both leaned in and gave each other a long meaningful kiss. They pulled away catching their breath and smiled. They walked in hand-in-hand. Santana and Quinn's mom smiled.
"Merry Christmas girls," Judy said
"Merry Christmas," They both said
They sat down and San took a picture with Quinn and posted it. They both were busy with their phones FaceTiming their friends.
"Mom I'm gonna go to bed," Quinn said getting up
"Alright sweetie, good night," Judy said
"Good night Ms. Lopez," Quinn said
"Good night Mija" Maribel smiled
"You coming?" Quinn asked San
"In a few" Santana said, Quinn nodded and headed upstairs
"So did you tell her?" Judy asked
"What are you talking about?" Santana confused
"Really you're glowing the both of you are," Judy said
"In that case, we did say it," Santana said
The two moms looked at Santana in awe, "okay I'm going upstairs now" Santana heading upstairs. Santana went into the room and saw Quinn looking out the window.
"Whatcha looking at" Santana hugging her from behind
"The stars," Quinn said
"It is beautiful" Santana looking at Quinn. Quinn noticed Santana looking at her
"I'm not the stars you know," Quinn said
"No you aren't but you're so much better" Santana stated, Quinn smiled and gave her a peck. They went to the bed and lay down staring into each other's eyes. Quinn shifted herself and cuddled with Santana.
"Good night, I love you" Quinn whispered enough for Santana to hear
"Good night, I love you too" Santana smiled
They fell asleep.
