You had lived with them for three months now.

You were not really sure what you had been expecting but your life with the orcs was no different then your life at home had been. You still worked everyday, often around the house or in the garden. You took any chance you could to throw yourself into some kind of work because, as long as you did...you could avoid having to do it. Having to make a choice.

The very idea of making that choice and marrying one of the orcs made you more nervous then you were willing to admit. It wasn't that you were frighted of them, you actually rather liked them. Whenever you could, you took the chance to get to know the brothers and...they weren't all that bad really.

Borok was the youngest brother, always smiling and joking around with you whenever he could.

He reminded you of the boys you had grown up with and, while you did really like him, you were not sure if he was someone you could ever marry.

Arlok was the eldest, the quiet one who loved to carve and build and could be quite sweet when given the chance.

But he was quiet and so hard to talk to and you had never been the quiet type yourself. Perhaps he was not the one for you.

And Breeok...

You weren't sure sure about Breeok but that was probably because you barely even knew the orc. He never really spoke to you, never spent any time with you or tried to get to know you at all. Of all the brothers, he seemed to like you the least. He was always stern, always stoic, and never smiled, hell! He barely even looked at you! And on top of that he was rarely home, preferring to hunt at all hours and coming home with meat and furs. In fact, you were certain that the only reason you hadn't butted heads was because you rarely saw one another.

Not that it bothered you in anyway.

You had your own things to do, having taken over gardening and quite a few other jobs, and you were doing quite well without him. At least, that's what you tried to tell yourself. But the truth of it was...you were attracted to him. You didn't understand why. He was cold towards you and yet...you were sure there was warmth inside of the orc. Warmth that you wanted so, so much. At first, you told yourself that it was just because he was so handsome. But over time, you knew that it was something much more then that.

There was simply something about Breeok drew you in, something you couldn't quite figure out. Something that your heart yearned for. Pretending seemed almost useless, your feeling felt undeniable and you hated it.

It just drove you crazy that an orc you almost never saw had such a power over you.

If only you knew that you were wielding the same power...

~

Breeok had always hated being told what to do.

Maybe that was why he spent so much time in the wilderness and less out in the open. Less people to deal with, no nonsense and no one to bother him. It was simply how he liked it. He had never dealt well with others, he hated having to do things if he didn't have a choice in them. So when his father announced the deal? To hell with that!

No one, absolutely no one, was going to make him marry some human. No way, never, just not happening.

He didn't care if she was beautiful. And hardworking. And intelligent and sassy and strong...No, he didn't care at all that this Y/N was truly everything he had ever wanted in a woman, he wasn't going to marry her...besides, why would she even want to? She had his brothers to choose from, it would be fine.
