The Biggest Mistake That I Made

The Invitation Accident

So, this happened in 5th grade. 

I was walking down to my desk when suddenly, the most popular girl in the school came up to me.

Then, I suddenly realized that she was going to throw a party and she was inviting everyone! I looked at her and smiled.

"Hey, I was just wondering if-" I took the pink invitation from her hand and said, "Thanks for inviting me!" I ripped it open.

The popular girl looked at me weirdly, then I noticed people in the classroom were looking at me too, I looked around and said, "What?"

The popular girl looked at me and smirked. "You dumb-head, I was never going to invite you, I was giving you the invitation to pass it to my friend Jessica because she is in your gym class."

I looked down embarrassed.  I was heating up, and then I put my head down on my desk while the kids were laughing at me.
