tutorial - how to color skin + hair [traditional]

(haven't colored in traditional in a while, so this was good practice!)

COLORING SKIN

1. find the starting color of the skin

2. add shading, which is a darker color than the original skin tone

3. add a shade that is a bit more red than the original skin tone to places that are elevated on the face (cheeks, nose, ears, etc.

adding an extra red shade shows that the character is blushing

the hair is essentially the same process
