POEM BY ACCIDENT?

So I've not written this poem completely, it's from sometime ago.
My brother and I accidentally made it up over text .

Little by little it dies...
Little by little it tries
It's alone in darkness
Yet it searches for light
That's seem to seize
As time passes by

Little by little it gives up on hope
It finds out the truth
That it cannot survive for long
Then reality hits hard
Crashes on it like the waves of a storm
It shatters everything

Hope, light and desire all gone
Yet one last time it tries to feel alive
To breathe one last time
By inflicting pain like usual or
By doing what it loves
The choice too hard to make for it

So it did what it thought was best
Gave up on everything
Taking it's last breath
As it gave up, it sees a light
But ignores cuz it is too late for it now
So the world lost another beautiful soul
Who now dances in heaven
Free from all the pain
