i plugged my phone into it's charger and set it onto my bedside table before i ran over to my front door and tried not to step on queso who was once again weaving inbetween my legs.

i straightened out my outfit and checked my reflection in a nearby glass cup before taking a deep breath and opening the door.

sure enough, there johnny and jaehyun were. johnny was wearing jeans and a black oversized hoodie while jaehyun was wearing a pair of gray sweatpants and a simple black tshirt. damn did he looks good.

i made eye contact with jaehyun first before panicking and allowing my eyes to flicker to make eye contact with johnny instead.

"hii." i spoke shyly. just now realizing that johnny really was taller than jaehyun. not by much, but still taller.

"hello." johnny and joehyun replied in unison, johnny waving with sweater paws and jaehyun leaning on his crutches.

they made awkward eye contact with each other before looking back at me. as if they were communicating telepathically through their undeniable bromance.

i had no idea what to say to fill the awkward tension in the room, other than that they both look very attractive today, but i knew saying that would probably make the awkwardness worse. well, at least for me because jaehyun would probably say stupid and my face would go tomato mode.

all of a sudden the conversation jaehyun and i had yesterday popped into my mind and i felt my heart beat faster.

i quickly shooed those memories out of my mind and looked back up at both jaehyun and johnny, craning my neck up so high that it ached.

it's hard being 5'1" on a good day and 4'8 on a bad one.

"you guys can come inside if you want," i said quietly, mentally beating the shit out of myself for not inviting them inside sooner.

it was at that moment that queso walked out of my apartment and straight over to jaehyun who attempted to pet him but nearly slipped.

i gasped and went to hold onto him but johnny propped him back up before i could even reach him.

"be careful." i whined, making johnny nod in agreement, his hands in his pockets.

jaehyun was too distracted to reply, smiling as queso laid down on his right foot, and then placed his paw on jaehyun's cast.

"i should probably get going but i'll come pick him up in a few hours." johnny said while slowly shuffling away.

"man do i feel like a dad dropping my son off at day care." johnny added, mumbling under his breath.
