My Book

My book is a place where I can rest,
when I am tired,
or after a test.

My book is a portal to another place,
where I find peace if I'm harried,
or need a change of pace.

My book is a movie into which I go,
and watch scenes go by,
on the pages they flow.

My books are homes into which I flee,
if I need a break,
or some time just for me.

Whether the book is large or small,
it's a land of its own,
watching the whole thing is not hard at all.

And though it might be hard to miss,
anytime I'm reading a book,
is just pure bliss.
