You took a look at yourself in the mirror and made sure your hair was in order, and clothes were in check. It had been a week since you've gotten out of the hospital and Vlad agreed to have dinner one night with you. Working for U.A had kept him busy so taking an afternoon out of his night was more difficult than he thought. Regardless the two of you stayed in communication with each other and when he finally had the time he let you know and you made reservations for a very high end restaurant named The Ebony and Ivory. You let Vlad know ahead of time that they had a dress code. Although even if they didn't it would definitely be a treat to see him in a suit. You had an hour or so to yourself until you had to pick him up. Driving was something you tolerated, since your quirk certainly made distances easy. In moderation of course. Your dreams as of late have been.. certainly morbid. Being a hero makes you prone to see awful things, and not always being able to stop those things from happening. Not even All Might could save everyone who was in danger. The dreams revolved around you being in the bank again. Being forced to watch what very well could have happened to the people you had saved. It was as if something was tainting your dreams. Maybe it was just your brains way of coping with the trauma. Almost being killed and having your body deteriorate for some time with little signs of it getting better certainly wouldn't be good for your mental health. Even if you never consciously thought about it. While your mind wondered you hadn't been paying attention until 5 minutes before you had planned to leave. You stepped outside the door to your house, and got inside your car. You looked up to the roof of it and took a deep breath. Tonight would go fine. You were just treating Vlad to a good meal for all that he's done for you.

Everything went fine with picking him up. Small talk ensued as you drove to the restaurant. The drive was about 35 minutes from his place. "Hey, Vlad?" after talking for a bit your curiosity got the better of you. "Hmm? What's up?" he turned his attention toward you. "Do you ever wonder how things could have turned out?" You were sure he was curious as he asked "Turn out differently how? I suppose more importantly, but with what?" His head cocked to the side slightly. "I've been having bizarre dreams about the bank situation, and unlike normal these are dreams I'm remembering. I'm not really sure why either." You came to a redlight and looked to him. The lights at the corner illuminating somewhat of what he really looked like in his suit. Dashing, as you expected. He wore a suit similar to yours with a red undershirt that seemed pretty tight in his pectoral region. Not that you noticed of course. Definitely weren't looking for that. "Hmmm... I suppose now that you mention it. I have thought of things going differently. Especially after what happened in the forest training camp. That was something I wish from the bottom of my heart our students didn't have to experience. However, there is nothing I can do about what happened. I can only look towards the future with hope that our students will be more driven to become excellent heroes." As his statement came to an end the light turned green and went back to driving towards the restaurant. Only a few minutes away now. His answer showed a large amount of his character. He cared about his students, and didn't linger on the past. "I see. That all makes sense, and I'm sure the next generations of heroes will be great. So your hope is well placed I'm sure. Thank you, Vlad. For giving me a different outlook." He nodded his head and until you arrived you both stayed silent.

Once you arrived you valeted and you both thanked the man. Then made your way inside. You had reserved for a booth away from most other seats. Looking back at it. Definitely seemed like you were going on a date. "I've never been to this place before, thank you for bringing me here. Are you sure I can't help pay for it? I'm certain this is far from cheap." He was right about that, but you couldn't let him pay as a guest. "Hey, Vlad. Don't worry about the price. If it was something i could't afford I wouldn't have brought us here, and while I appreciate your offer I'm afraid I'll have to decline it. Get whatever you want, its the least I can do for what you've done for me." Vlad looked down and scratched the back of his neck. Then looked up and smiled. "Alright. I'll hold you to that offer then."

Dinner proceeded as normal. You both took your time eating and before dessert took a break for everything to settle. "Phew, that was amazing (Y/N) thank you again. I can't believe I ate all of that." Giving a soft chuckle you looked to him with a smile. "Of course. I'm shocked you ate all that too, you sure you want dessert?" Vlad returned the chuckle and smirked somewhat mischievously. "I'm not the one who's paying, of course I'll take dessert." Things grew silent for a moment and it finally hit you. Just how attractive you found him. The lighting was perfect, as was the situation. "Everything alright? You're just staring at me." Heat flooded to your face and you laughed nervously. "Oh! Y-yeah everything's good, just got lost in thought is all. If you're ready we can order dessert now." He nodded. You felt yourself sigh mentally. However that was possible. You hadn't even noticed that you were looking at him so intently. The heat from your face gradually receded as your nerves settled down. Conversation started again and desert was soon ordered. After being downed between the both of you, deciding that you'd rather split something. You felt a knot in your chest. You've had such a good time tonight with Vlad, and it was coming to an end. It took enough effort for him to clear aside a free night. It seemed unlikely that it would happen again. Either Vlad was perceptive or it showed on your face. "Is something wrong? You seem sad." You sighed. "It's nothing. I'm just being.. silly." He looked to you, both intrigued and concerned. "You can tell me. I don't mind listening." You intertwined your fingers and rested you chin on them as your elbows propped your head up. "Well. It might sound weird, but I've had such a great time tonight. With you, and I'm a little sad it's coming to an end." You felt that heat coming back up to your face. You couldn't look at his face. "O-oh, I see. Well this doesn't need to be the last time we hang out. Especially if you pay for it. Thought you'll have to let me pay for something at some point." The heat became more intense but out of excitement you looked up to him happily. "Really?! That makes me really happy." He smiled widely "It makes me happy as well. You've been a treat to be around and I don't converse with many people outside of my students and fellow teachers. It'll be a nice change of pace." You were definitely shocked but were happy nonetheless, and had a hard time containing it. "Vlad, you have no idea how happy I am right now. Thank you." He once again smiled and leaned forward. "I think I do." Your eyes widened for a moment and you turned away, bashfully. "U-um how about I pay and I get you home now?" He laughed rather heartily and nodded his head "Sounds great. Thanks again."

You pulled up in front of his place and turned to him. "Well, here you are. Mr. King." He chuckled and turned to you. "Mr. King is rather redundant don't you think? Mr. Kan or Mr. Sekijirou would fit better." You smiled and shrugged "But of course, my apologies." You said your farewells and you drove off towards your place rather reluctantly. Though it might not be this week he said he would like to go out again sometime. Once you got home it took a few hours to even begin to wind down from the high you were riding. You laid on your back and looked up to the ceiling and smiled to yourself. Something so little, like getting to talk to him again was enough to keep you up late just thinking of it. As you continued to think about him and what to do next you drifted off to sleep peacefully for the first time since your visit to the hospital. "No bad dreams tonight." You thought, then crashed.

(Sorry for that hiatus I took, I felt rather unmotivated to write but I definitely plan on being more consistent. Soon.)
