~The Darker Shades Of She~
Like smoke she evaporated into the night leaving no sign or trace.
Despite her disappearance it seemed her memory refused, to us, be erased.
She was a sad girl, sullen and often withdrawn into her mind.
HIdden away in some lonely and scary place we could never find.
She was a mystery yet her soul she often would lay bare,
Despite the abuse it received without regret or care.
Her tears were never seen but always heard about in whispers,
If she could have been harmed by every word said about her she would have been marred in scars and blisters.
She left us before we could the enigma of her,
Before even the true story of her life could begin to occur.
She took herself away from us and went into the darker shades that we could never see,
But we were not sad for it seemed that was where she was always meant to be.
