~Savior~

You were the savior I didn't ask for.

I never wanted to be saved.

You were the one who gave me a reason,

When I didn't have one anymore.

I wasn't much to begin with but you said you saw the beauty I wouldn't nurture.

I told you, you were crazy.

You never argued with me about it.

You made me smile though all I wanted to do was cry.

You gave me hope that wasn't there before.

We both know you didn't have to do that.

I couldn't look you in the eye knowing you stole my withered heart.

You wouldn't let me look away.

I never asked for an angel to guide me to the light.

You took the job without complaint.

As I look at your gravestone now I can't help but wonder,

Though you saved me, who was there to save you?
