Chapter 17: A very perfect christmas

      A good amount of time after gifts had been handed out, Hermonie had decided to part ways and return home to celebrate the rest of the day with her parents. I hugged her goodbye and thanked her for the new quill. She smiled and left with Remus. Remus said that was going to visit an old friend for a little while so he had decided to accompany Hermonie. Knowing that Hermonie was having an escort made me worry less.
Giving the Weasly's a bit of privancy with their father, who had just come home I slowly crept up the stairs to the room I had been staying in. As I made it all the way to the top I spotted Harry satnding in the room next to mine. I knocked on the wall to get his attention casing him to look over at me.
"Mind if join you?"
Harry lips curved up into a smile.
"Sure".
I nodded and stepped into the room. Closing the space between us. Harry's eyes continued to stay on me casuing me to glace away as a blush fell upon my cheeks. Calm down cassie. Its okay. Its just Harry. Harry. The guy who understood you who made your stomach fill with butterflies. I shook my head, trying to snap myself out of it.
"Are you having a good Christmas?"
"I am. Everyone's been very welcoming and it feels good to be surrounded by people again. I'm really glad that I came". I replied.
"Im glad that you came too, actually". Harry stated as he stepped closer to me. Now I could feel his breath against my skin and my heart was beating faster then before. I didn't have an idea what he was going to do next, but as he placed something small and cold in my hand I glanced down at the object. Sitting in the palm of my hand was a small silver raven charm.
"Harry its beautiful!". I exclaimed.
"Glad to hear you like it".
"how did you-
"I sent a letter to Sirius that I wanted to get you something for Christmas and he gave me a few ideas, but this one". He pointed to the raven, "I thought you'd like it-"
Before Harry could finish his statement I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him against me. I could feel Harry's hands wrap around my waist and caused me to jump back from him. In doing so our faces were just inches apart. Harry's eyes stared down at my lips and i didn't know what he was thinking as I knew that I wanted to press mine against his. As harry began to lean in, our lips nearly touching both of us were startled by a knock. Both of us turned swiftly to the door to see Sirius standing there. Smirking from ear to ear at us. My cheeks exploded into a fire of embearsment. Harry glared up at Sirus which made him just chuckle.
"Don't worry. I wont tell a soul. Especially not Remus". He whispered. Harry groaned as I bolted for the door.
"Cassie wait". Harry called after me. Turning my head Harry moved towards me.
"I didn't mean to-"
Shaking my head at him I then reached for his hand.
"Harry, its alright". Then I grabbed his face and planted a kiss on his cheek. Pulling away I could see a light blush fall upon his face.
"I-"
"Ill see you later, harry". I said as I made my way to the stair case. Leaving a flustered Harry and his smirking god father to talk about what had just happened.

      The morning after Chrsitmas, once again it seemed like I was the first one up. Pulling my silk robe around me I made my way down the steps and into the kitchen. As I pushed open the door I noticed Harry sitting up at the table with a cup of hot chocolate in his hand. He noticed me straring at him. He smiled and I made my way over and sat beside him. Yesturday we had never gotten a chance to talk about what had almost happened and wish everyone asleep still, hopefully we would be able to talk about it now.
"Morning". I greeted Harry.
"Morning, Cassie". He greeted me back.
"About what happened yesterday I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortabel. That wasn't what I wanted. I-"
I smiled and looked over at him.
"Harry, you didn't make me feel uncomfortable". I said. Harry breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Good to hear. The last thing I want to do is upset you". He said meeting my gaze.
  "That's good to hear"
An awkwardness seemed to creep upon us as we both just stared back at one another not sure who was going to break the silence. Harry began to open his mouth as did I, however he then began to lean in and I did as well. Harry then placed his hand over mine and without another thought Harry's lips brushed against mine. My body reacted straight away with more butterflies in my stomach, but along with it I felt this warm sensation over fill me. Harry's lips on mine felt so good. He pulled me closer to him and let his lips leave mine. Letting out a breath I looked up and smiled at him.
"I've wanted to do that since break started". Harry smirked causing a giggle to escape me. I quickly cupped my hand over my mouth as Harry laughed as well. Then placed his hand over mine. Then I laid my forehead against his.
"Have you really?"
Harry nodded.
"I have". Harry stated. "there's something about you, Cassie that thrills me. Your brilliant, kind, and a good person. You stood up for me when many thought I was lying, even before you got to really know me".
"that's because it was the right thing to do!" I stated to him. Harry clasped both my hands in his.
"See. That's why your brilliant. You do whats right even if others against you. You're a good person, cassie and that's why everyone cares about you so much". Harry said smiling at me. I smiled back at him as he led us out to the living room. The we both sat down on the couch with me leaning on him.
"That's why I care about you".
I removed my head from Harry's shoulder and gazed into his green eyes.
"You care about me?" I gasped.
"I do". He replied, "Spending time with you made me realize that I...I enjoy being around you".
Letting out a breath that I was holding back I placed both my hands on his face and leaned in.
"I like being around you too". Then I pulled his lips to mine and let his arms wrap around me.

AHHHHH THEY FINALLY KISSED. I'm not going to rush their relationship though.
