A/N: Hello everyone, it is quarantine season and what better time to do an update. Anyways I announced on my other book that I will now be calling my readers LATTAES. So without further ado let's dive into this update.

Taehyung had thought that maybe after some time Jungkook would start talking to him or at least look in his direction.

But here he is sitting at the dining table eating the chicken he had made hoping Jungkook would come home for dinner.

He felt like crying. He wasn't happy with the way things were progressing, or lack of progression.

Taehyung hastily ate his chicken as he could no longer stand to sit alone. As he got up he stared at the other plate he had set out for Jungkook.

This time he let his tears roam freely down his face. This was never the life he envisioned for himself.

Taking a deep shaky breath he washed his plate and went to his room.

Lying in his bed he thought of all the things he would want to do with Jungkook.

Going on cute picnics, holding hands, and kissing.

He let out a small forced laugh, those things are never going to happen because Jungkook can't even look in his direction without scoffing.

Deciding to no longer think about it he grabbed his phone that was gifted to him and texted Jimin who had slipped him his number the other day he came to visit.

He waited for a response for some time, but didn't get one. As he was waiting he started getting drowsy and his bed felt so comfortable. He finally succumbed and closed his eyes.

He woke up hours later only to find he was tucked in. He doesn't remember ever even getting under the blanket.

He looked out the window, he was met with a sky full of glowing stars. The view was absolutely mesmerizing.

He got up and out his bed to go sit on the balcony and enjoy the view.

The air was chilly, but he loved how it brushed against his skin. Taehyung felt as if he could stay in that moment forever.

He closed his eyes relishing in the slight breeze that softly swayed his hair.

"What are you doing out here? You could get sick."

Taehyung was startled by the voice. He turned around and saw Jungkook standing there in his pajamas and messy bed hair. This was a sight he had never witnessed so he couldn't help but to stare.

"Stop staring." Jungkook harshly said.

Taehyung lowered his head and turned back around to look at the stars.

A few moments of silence went by and he Tae thought that Jungkook had left by now.

That was until the other sat next to him on the ground. He was truly startled. He didn't know what to do in such a situation.

Jungkook would have never given him the time of day.

He stayed silent and that annoyed Jungkook, because he thought Taehyung should be jumping up in joy now that he gave him the attention he wanted.

He could be doing other things right now. Things that are much more important.

"Aren't you going to say something," he voiced out.

"Umm...the stars are beautiful today."

"Yeah they are. Eventhough they are just made up gas burning in the atmosphere."

Taehyung giggled at that. "You're funny."

"Why is that funny? It's true therefore it is not funny."

Taehyung's smile dropped.

"Didn't you learn this in school? This has to he basic middle school knowledge."

"I wasn't able to go to school, I had to work to help bring in money to pay the bills." Taehyung said with sadness in his voice.

He remembers always seeing kids walking home from school with their backpacks and books.

He always dreamed of going to school.

Jungkook just sat there. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't fathom the idea of someone working at such a young age.

When he was in middle school he never had to worry about that money. Now sitting there, he realized he never had to worry about money.

"What about elementary school? I'm sure you went." Jungkook questioned.

"I had to drop out by third grade because I missed too many classes and I had to stay and take care of my sister because my mom and dad worked all day." He answered.

Jungkook pondered the response. He let the words soak into his brain. So Taehyung at about 9 years old stopped going to school.

"I never learned to read or write. I can only spell my name. All the job applications I would fill out, my friend Jin would do it for me." Taehyung said after a moment of silence.

The silence grew tense. Jungkook didn't know what to say after that revelation.

He really couldn't believe just how different their lives had been. He had all these luxuries and privileges that he was taking for granted. Meanwhile Taehyung had all these hardships and he took them all, looked them straight in the eye, and conquered them.

Taehyung just went back into his room. Jungkook followed right after him.

"I'm tired. I'm going to sleep." Was all Taehyung said as he got under the covers and snuggled up.

Jungkook just stood there awkwardly shuffling in place.

"Why are you still standing there?" Taehyung asked as he stifled a yawn.

"Aren't you going to ask me to stay?"

"Why would I ask something I already know the answer to. You're going to say no and leave."

Jungkook was once again shocked. He couldn't believe it. I mean Taehyung was right but he still wanted to make sure Taehyung knew his place.

And that place was far away from Jungkook's heart or mind.

"Oh. Well. Night." He left mouth slanting down into a frown.

With that he walked out the room. The door clicked indicating it was closed.

After that, Taehyung let out a deep breath he was holding in.

He was bluffing with his answer, he wanted to Jungkook to deny it and state that he wanted to stay; and maybe even get into bed with him.

Clearly he was hoping for too much. He shook his head as a way to clear his mind of the unkind thoughts starting to pop up.

"Good Night," he said to no one in particular.

A few minutes later small snores were heard in the room. He was fast asleep dreaming of cute married life.

A/N: This quarantine life really is not it. I'm stuck with my family 24/7 and I'm starting to get a little claustrophobic. I love my family but like I need a much needed break from them. ANYWAYS stay safe, wash your hands, practice basic hygiene as much as possible. Don't eat all your quarantine snacks at once. I love you all my lil LATTAES. See you in the next update. 💜💜💜💜💜
