a car
that is what it all came down to
in that car it was were he striped and told me things
things like: his feelings, his complicated relationship with my mother, our family, our legacy
it was were he congratulated me,
told me what i should improve on.
it was were every secret ever told between the two of us started and ended.
it was were i was welcomed into his world,
in that car was the only time i got to see him.
