Omar slowly walked down the hall towards his son's nursery where he had noticed a light was on. He walked to find his wife seated on the floor with a sonogram at her feet. She had her knees to her chest and her chin on her knees with her back to the royal blue chest of drawers. Oblivious to his presence, he silently listened to her tears.

'Why are you sitting in the dark?'

Omuhle quickly tried to wipe away her tears and turned to face him. Surprised that she was not alone.

'Nothing just thinking about the day we found out his sex. How we argued the whole way to the doctor about if we should or should not find out his sex.'

Omari noticed that her smile did not reach her eyes as he approached her. He really missed her beautiful dimple embellished smile. They did not pop out anymore and no matter how hard she tried to keep a brave face and smile, her eyes always told the truth.

'And you did not want to know but in the end the king got what he wanted.'

He smiled, wrapping his arm around her waist. With his back leaning onto the chest of drawers,he pulled her onto his chest where she lay quietly. He rubbed her lower back as she traced his well chiseled chest and abdomen.

'I love your nails. What do they call these?'

He grabbed one of her fingers and started bending her nails. He did this only to get a reaction out of her as she hated when he did that. He got no response.

'What is troubles you my queen?'

He knew by her actions that she was deep in thought. Omuhle placed her hand on his lower abdomen with a deep sigh. He grabbed it intertwining it with his before bringing it to his lips.

'Just thinking about the false sightings we have received from our community. All the resources we have exhausted because of peoples false tips and the disappointment of finding out that the tip was wrong. What is worse is the ransom calls we get from chancers. What have we done so bad to this kingdom that we have to be made to relieve the pain of losing a child everyday. How can people be so cruel?.'

'I wish I had an answer for why people do such evil deeds but you can never understand how the human heart or mind works. All we can do is never stop looking. Out of the hundred false tips, one might be right.'

'The past few weeks have just made me think that maybe I will never see my son again and what yesterday's newspaper said about the chance being slim that we will find our son. I just -'

Omari placed his index finger under her chin and made her look up at her. Omuhle's eyes were sparkly with tears,he pulled her in for a hug.

'Omuhle don't you dare give up on our son. We will find him,I promise.'

Omuhle gribbed his shirt tighter as she cried onto his chest and he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and let her cry.
