nowadays, the boys have all graduated and theyre currently in college continuing their education

mark and hyuck had learn to fall in love with each other and theyve gotten a decent apartment together, they have some classes together but on this particular day they have different classes

"hyuckie ill be going to class now, ive made pancakes for you in the kitchen" mark told as he kissed half asleep hyucks forehead lovingly

hyuck nodded and added a 'be back soon' as mark proceed to leave the apartment 

hyuck stretch out as he got out of bed ruffling his recently dyed hair (we go up era) then went to eat the pancakes mark made for him

hyuck then looked on the calendar

august 2

he gasped.

"marks birthday!" he squealed, he almost forgot his boyfriends birthday

the boy then took a quick a shower and planned out a simple surprise

honestly, hyuck isnt that great at cooking but at this he will try to make a cake for mark

"okay soo to make chocolate cake!" he pulled out a simple recipe and followed it, not forgetting to put a pink apron flour might have got stuck on his cheeks but he just hoped that the cake turned out great

just as hyuck was putting it in the oven

"shit i forgot,i dont have icing!" hyuck then run to the baking store nearby, he didnt even care if he looked like a mess. mark was going to be home in 40 minutes

hyuck succesfully bought icing in the colour pink (because he didnt care what colour it was), he also bought candles aswell. he was a little sweaty but he waited the cake for a little and finally took it out

the boy took effort and decorate it with chocolate bars on the edges and wrote "happy birthday mark!" in a squiggly handwriting and added a heart not forgetting to put the candles

although it looked kinda bad he was proud of his work, and since he got time to spare hyuck decided to write a card for his lovely boyfriend and just in time he finished, the sound of door opening could be heard.

hyuck quickly put the card in the bedside table and rushed back to lit the candles

"happy birthday markie! blow the candles " hyuck smiled upon mark walking in

"you made this? oh my god" mark giggled which made hyuck pout

"hurry up and blow the candles its tiring" hyuck protested

mark closed his eyes, made a wish then blow the candles

hyuck set the cake aside and hugged mark
"i love youuu" and kissed his cheek

"i love you too hyuckie, you look messy" mark told wiping the flour off his cheek

"sorry if its simple, it was last minute but we can plan a party with people and w-"

hyucks statement was cut off by mark kissing his lips, which turned to a makeout session

mark pulled away catching his breath, his lips swollen

"im fine with this, just us two" he said and pecked the tip of hyucks nose in which the other blushed

"anyways lets cut the cake!" hyuck quickly said moving on and giving a small knife to mark

mark cut the cake and fed it to hyuck
"hey it isnt that bad" he said outloud

sooner both boys enjoyed the cake and resulting in hyuck falling asleep on the counter

mark shook his head at his loved and carried him to their room taking off his pink apron

as mark tucked him in he looked at the card hyuck made

it was a white envelope with a little writing on the edge of it "happy birthday mark"

mark opened the card and almost teared up when reading it

happy birthday markie,

i love you and forever always. im really glad were soulmates, back then in highschool i really was unsure on how we worked things out but you really helped me, you were so sweet and kind and i just love your personality. soon i realized ive fallen for you mark lee and i dont regret it. a month and a half later you asked me to be your boyfriend and i was beyond happy. i truly love you and will always love you. my soulmate
