Once upon a dreamer, she doth ask,
Are you my happily ever after?
Knight in shining armor?
Love like a fairy tale that's what I'm after.
Snow White's heart got it's mending.
Beating once again, from prince's kiss at the ending.
I know...says the dreamer,
One day you'll be, part of my world.
My reality's swirled?
True loves kiss.
Must be bliss.
I'll show you, one two three: it's something like this.
Met him late in the night.
To my delight.
He said, "Sit right here.
I'll get you a beer."
It was romantic.
We had our own little Ball.
Then he said he'd call...
~~~~
Midnights bells?
Cinderella's spell?
It's all a joke.
Glass slipper has broke.
Just a dreamer after all.
Running from a fall.
Because in the end,
Fairy tales do not exist.
Take it from once upon a dreamer, I insist.
Broken heart
The princess has fallen apart.
Can't muster a smile.
Can't muster any more dreams.
This is the end, so it seems.
Alone with tears.
Alone with fear.
There are no goddamn fairy tales here.
Poetic Poetry:
PoetryPoetry was the first type of writing I really got into. I was 12 when I wrote about a girl who had fallen in love with a boy who comitted suicide. Most of my poetry is very dark. So if you aren't into that kind of thing, you probably won't like it!
