Darkness, all I see with my eyes,
It's all I ever dream every passing night,
Help to bring me to light she says with delight,
She lends a hand only to lead me to another pit,
Stabs me with each passing murmur of her sultry lips ,
I look towards my captor with torturing bliss,
"Why don't you flee? Have you not been blessed with wings?"
I'm as helpless as a tamed falcon, blinded from the light,
The mews I have been kept in offers me poisoned darkness,
It is my only friend,
Oh what's this?
Hope surging from within,
Will i ever escape the steel talons of the fierce eagle?
Giving me false pleasure while eating away everything that i am,
Cursed, that is what I am!
To be given freedom but still chained to the sultry wench,
Alas, my freedom slips like slippery eel, far beyond my reach,
The woman has built a harem in my heart,
How each laugh I hear scorches my bleeding heart,
Will I ever escape?
Forced I am, to do her every bidding,
She lathers me in reward, with her sweetened curse,
The smile from her red lips remain as bright as the sun,
She has become my light, yet she hurts me with a thousand backlashes,
Then she'll soothe me with moving lips and cunning smirks,
Oh how I bleed!
She purges me to go on fiery embarkments,
She severs my neck with her totem,
"Go to the mountain in the East my humble disciple
and get me the fine rubies and emeralds it beholds,
so I can adorn my body with it
and enslave the jewels between my breasts"
Like a possessed man under seige, I heed her every command,
I spread my wings and fly to the East to do my lady's bidding,
The mountain was steep and treacherous,
My calloused talons are bruised from the brunt attack of the savage rocks,
Twas as dry as the Sahara dessert,
Did i give up?
To face the wrath of the Queen that enslaved my heart?
Do I strike you as a madman?
No! I'd rather die and let the asses feast on my rotten flesh,
Than betray the one who drew me,
With weary hands that blisters with every grasp,
I trugded on,
Yea! At last I see the peak,
I climb up to top,
Water, I had none,
The food I bore in my belly were the dry windy dust,
Will I die here? Is this the end?
Death, I fear the most,
For it promises eternal darkness,
I will never see my light again,
I will not give up, I shall fight death,
To my very last dying breath,
I hear a sweet cry from the East side of the mountains,
Lo, Tis a beautiful bird,
Its fine feathers whiter than snow,
So beautiful!
It came to me as sat beside me,
"Shoo away now, pure bird, my wretchedness shall soil your fine feathers"
"Nay, I disagree, For before the Lord, All are equal"
"Blessed is the soul of your Lord, I have come here
To do that which was commanded of me
To seek the jewels of this hill
And bring it to my mistress
For her satisfaction"
"Nay!", cried the bird "Tis impossible
To bring satisfaction to a covetous woman,
She holds you captive,
Why do you suffer in silence?
Don't you want to be free?
Wrest your freedom from her clutches!
Claim what has been given to you,
The talents given to you by the elders
Why do you abandon it?
Why do you lay to waste gifts so great
There is no greater master than the Lord
He offers salvation,
He gives rest to the weary
Seek him to be saved"
I know all this things, yet,
I'm at the mercy of my Lady,
She has posessed my soul,
How can I take it back,
I have no strength in me,
I am just a vassal in her keep,
How can a servant wrestle with it's master,
Can it be done?
A gust of wind blew by,
And unleavened bread with water appeared,
"Drink and eat, O weary one, for my Lord
Has seen your plight,
and have mercy on you,
So you shall regain your strength,
And fight the dragon for your soul"
I tasted the bread and it tasted like life,
I drank the water and it satisfied the thirst
I knew not of,
Oh! I am at the mercy of this Great Lord,
"I am nothing but a slave to my desire!
Yet The Lord fed me from his hand,
I pledge everything I ever will be to him,
What can I ever give him in return,
For his mercy towards me?"
The dove called out sweetly,
"You have given him the greatest gift there is
Your broken soul
Go now to the demon in angel's clothing
The freedom she stole from you
Request it from her
Mention the name of you New Lord
And you shall see her tremble
By the soft utterance of his Holy Name"
Shivers of fear went down my spine,
"What if I die? She will kill me because of my treachery"
"Do not fear death, there are worse things
Than death
Your predicament is worse than death!
I tell you truly, if you die
In the name of the Lord
You shall be given eternal life"
The words the bird spoke of were like music to my ears,
"Do not fear for the Great I Am is within you"
The bird then fluttered its beautiful wings,
And flew up to the heavens,
I stood on my feet with determination,
To go the bewitching woman,
And take hold what was given to me,
I climbed down,
From the mountain of the East,
To the woman of sinful passions,
She looked at my hands for her jewels,
And found none
"Where are my fine stones? You dare come back with nothing
I looked back at her with equanimity,
"Nay witch, I came back with renewed strength
And a fight within my limbs
And a message for your ears
That you shall hear me well
You will return to me that which you took
And you will free me from the harem of legions you set within my soul
For I have sworn allegiance to the most powerful God there is"
Her eyes set ablaze
To the greatest anger I've faced
"Your fathers sold their soul to me
And I shall keep hold what is mine
Your soul is mine
For your betrayal
I shall stake your flesh
Till you bleed out
And cry for mercy
You are not great, for you are just a lad.
How can you defeat me?"
No more! I will stand against the wench
I have had enough
"Greater is He that is in me
Than he that is in the world
The name of my God is
Yahweh"
And the woman let out a banshee cry
And her totem broke away from my neck
Along with her legions
They left my body
And I felt light
For she took her burden away
In fear of my God
And she gave me what she took from me
Her body then was set aflame
And she burned with her sisters
And a pit appeared
And swallowed my adversaries
Now I'm free
My talents are returned and multiplied
And my imperfections are made perfect
In the Lord God Almighty
Yea, He's my light
My light doesn't harm me
He is loving and kind
The holiest kind of light
To purge away my darkest hour
He hoist me up
Like a mother to a babe
He shadows me from my enemies
Smiting the wicked ones
And looks over me like a shepherd to a sheep
I hear the sound of my captor
Wailing in defeat
As she burn in fire
And I'm certain if the lion come back
I'd turn to fight
