Dreams come true - Mike Shinoda

{chapter 2: gifts}

After eating cake we got to the gifts. I unwrapped the first thing Norah got me which was a gift card for most stores, the second thing was a linkin park shirt and the third thing was a collage of pictures, there were pictures of me, my family, Norah and I and also a few of Linkin park. "Thank you so much Norah!" I said for the 6th time.

My dad handed me a beautiful black guitar, he knew I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I thanked him and hugged him tightly.

"Sweetie," I heard my mother, I turned around to see her holding an envelope out for me, I took it out of her hands and looked at it "open it." My mom said, smiling brightly. I tore open the envelope and got out 2 tickets... 2 tickets to linkin park.. Tomorrow. I froze "A-Alexa?" My mom spoke. I looked like I had seen a ghost, but then I smiled widely and Screamed, tears of happiness ran down my face "Oh my god! Oh my god! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

There were 2 tickets which meant I could take Norah, "Norah! We're going to see Linkin park" I said to Norah who just happened to have taken a sip of her drink but she spat it out and started coughing "oh- my" she coughed "god!" After the coughing went down a bit she yelled "I can't believe it! Please tell me you're not joking! Please!" "I'm not! We are really going to see linkin park!" I screeched. Norah screamed, I screamed, Norah Screamed, I screamed, we literally took turns in screaming until my mom chuckled "okay! Okay! That's enough!" Norah and I settled down a bit but I knew that we both were still freaking out on the inside.

We just talked to our family some more and my brother gave me money which was also good to have. Eventually everyone but Norah left.

I was going to see Mike! Omg! To be honest, I dream about him a lot! I also read a lot of fan fictions and follow a bunch of fan accounts.. yeah.

"Alexa?" Norah snapped me out of my thoughts "it's 6 pm we should get to work soon." Norah spoke. She works there too, also as a waitress.

I nodded and we got ready for work, before we knew it we were at the cozy and casual dining we worked at. "Another day at 'Jacob's'" said Norah as she tied her apron around her waist. The name of the restaurant was just the first name of the owner, Jacob. "I am standing here with Alexa Diaz, Alexa what do you think of this restaurant?" Norah asked in a news-reporter-like voice. I chuckled "It's pretty damn good, got some killer fries.". Norah smiled "that's true. Hey, ever wonder what Mike would order if he were to come here?". "I think..." Norah and I got interrupted by a coworker walking into the room "Great! You're here. Time to work."

Norah and I just started working and the day went like any other day. Well, some dude kept being extremely rude but we just ignored it.

We left the building from the backdoor. "See ya tomorrow Alexa. I'm so excited!" Norah cheered. I smiled "yes! Me too! I can't wait!"

We hugged and we parted ways after we said our goodbyes.

When I got to my apartment it was about 12:30 am so I watched some tv and there was an interview with Mike and Chester on.

I texted Norah, notifying her about it. She was also now watching the same interview as me.

"Yeah, I just like, haven't met the one yet I guess." Mike's voice filled my living room "Well, I've had a girlfriend before but she just wasn't the one I guess."

My phone pinged multiple times and I looked at the texts I got.

Norah: MIKE,

Norah: ALEXA

Norah: IS

Norah: THE

Norah: ONE

Norah: FOR

Norah: YOU!

I chuckled and replied "YASS!" Before turning my attention back to the beautiful half-asian on my tv screen.

After the interview I brushed my teeth, put on pajamas and went to bed.

The next morning I woke up early because I was so excited about the concert. This'd be my first Linkin Park concert because I couldn't make it to the other ones. I put on the shirt that Norah got me yesterday and dark blue jeans paired with black combat boots.

I was playing meteora and hybrid theory all day long.

When the clock reached 7:00, I called Norah to ask her if She could pick me up, My car broke a few days ago and I didn't exactly had the money to fix it. She said she'd pick me up asap and excitement was hearable in her voice.

After 10 minutes Norah knocked on the door, I could tell it was her since she knocked and I heard her rings hitting the wood of the door along with the humming of numb.

I opened the door and smiled widely "hey Norah! Let's go!" She smiled back "hell yeah!"

We got to her car and drove towards the building of the concert. We got there and actually got there pretty early which I was happy about! We ended up getting at the front row!

The guys walked onto stage and everyone in the crowed cheered and screamed. "Hey guys!" Mike said into the microphone and my heart fluttered.. even though Mike always tended to say 'hey guys'

After a short greeting music started playing. Eventually we got to 'somewhere I belong'

"When this began,
I had nothing to say
And I'd get lost in the nothingness inside of me" Mike's amazing voice filled the space. I smiled widely and screamed as Mike came closer to the side that me and Norah were standing. Mike looked at me for a while...
" I was confused" sang Chester. Mike tore his eyes away from me and continued "And I let it all out to find that I'm not the only person with these things in mind"

"inside of me" Chester's beautiful vocals echoed through the room. Mike shinoda, just stared at me! I screamed even louder.

"But all the vacancy the words revealed
Is the only real thing that I got left to feel"

"nothing to lose" Chester sang.

"Just stuck, hollow and alone
And the fault is my own,
And the fault is my own.."  Mike finished his part and Chester's screams replaced Mike's raps.

To my opinion the concert was over way too soon, people started leaving the building, Norah and I leaving as one of the last since we were one of the first to get in.

Norah got a phone call "what? Can't it wait? I have to drop of Alexa first! Godverdomme Evan!" Norah yelled into the phone, I knew what 'godverdomme' meant, it was Dutch for goddamn it, I don't know why she was so angry with her brother, but she was so mad to the point that she started talking Dutch. "Nou ik heb dus blijkbaar ook gewoon geen keus, of wel?! Jesus Christus! Kon je dit niet even eerder regelen?! Wat moet ik nu dan met Alexa doen?! Oh hou op! Ik kom er aan.." she hung up angrily. She sighed in frustration and spoke "I'm so sorry Alexa.. But my annoying excuse of a little brother needs me to pick him up, he's in trouble.. do you mind walking home?" She asked. I shook my head, Norah smiled "thanks Alexa, I'll pay you back one day!" She said as she nearly ran to her car.

I sighed, I hated walking home alone, it actually kinda scared me.

I sighed and checked my phone, I was pretty sad that Norah had to leave in such a hurry. but a very familiar voice spoke "hey, Are you alright?" I looked over to see the Mike Shinoda standing right in front of me.
