Chapter 8

Emery's pov

I hear the door knocking instead of the door bell. I go open the door and I see Chloe crying. She comes in and tells me why she's crying, even though I didn't ask her. She says,
Chloe-"Ricky cheated on me with a girl in the hospital."
Emery-"Did you see him kissing her?"
Chloe-"No, but I know that he was going to. Also I want a knife please."
Emery-"Just calm down I'm gonna go get the knife." I realized that Chloe wants to kill herself, so I put all the knives, pills, and anything else she can kill herself with a cabinet and lock the cabinet. I go back to her and tell her,
Emery-"Calm down and it's not a good idea to kill yourself. You just have to work out things with him."
Chloe-"I don't even want to see him but I'm going to tell one thing. Ricky promised me when I was 16 that he was gonna propose after it turn 18, which I'm 17 now and my birthday is in 2 months!" I stood there in shock, I didn't know he was going to propose...
Chloe keeps talking,
Chloe-"But it's not going to happen because he found someone else."
I was speechless that I didn't know what to say. Chloe notice that I wouldn't answer, so then I notice that she was looking for the key to open the locked cabinet. She was about to grab the keys from the other cabinet but I snatched them away from her. I knew she was crazy but not completely insane.
