moonlit eyes

I want to open the curtain and see the moon light in your eyes
Golden flakes with cool undertones
Passion overtakes your iris and causes the colors to explode
Greens and golds and browns mixed into a glorious pool
The night is when all things become raw
You're torn down to what only seems like your bones
But that's what makes your eyes so beautiful
Color that is brought into a night that can be so lifeless
No more purple and blue hues
Only rich earth tones
Then the soil mixes with the sky
And life becomes something more tangible
But only to the person witnessing the fusion
I dream of this
At night when I watch the stars dance in the sky through the blinds
Because that's how the day met the night
You break everything solemn
The silence
Instead of uncomfortable tension
It is now a peaceful thought
