(Plot summary: Luke and the reader has had some history and they were in love. But they lost touch for a long time when Luke moved to Quantico and you stayed in New York. The next time you hear from him is 3 years later and he sent you an invitation to go to his wedding. When you do go, you had to tell him something, and it's much more appropriate when the priest says the infamous line: 'speak now or forever hold your peace.')
Your POV
You snuggled up with Luke on the couch. "Why do you have to go? Why can't you stay here with me?" You whine and looked up at him.
"I'm so sorry, (y/n). But this is a great opportunity for me. I can finally become the profiler I always wanted to be." He says with pride and a soft tone in his voice.
"I know. Which is why I think we should just end things here. I don't want to hold you back." You say out of no where and you got up from his grasp, leaving Luke extremely confused?"What? (Y/n), where is this coming from?" He questions you.
"I've been thinking about this ever since you told me about your promotion. I thought maybe it was a good idea for you to leave and get a clean start. Since you're doing so already." You lie and gesture to his bags sitting by the door. You hear him sigh sadly.Luke gets up and gives you a long kiss on your forehead. "I'll see you around then, (y/n)." He then grabs his things and walks out of the door and out of your life now. The last thing you heard was the sound of his truck engine leaving the parking lot, making you collapse on the couch and crying until you couldn't anymore or you were tired.

Time skip: 3 years laterYou receive a text from an unknown number saying:
'Hey (y/n), can you come to the wedding?'You respond with:
'I'm sorry, who's this?'The number replied:
'It's me, Luke.'You almost dropped your phone right there. He's just now talking to you? And he's getting married? To whom?
You sent a text saying:
'Yeah. I'll come. It's your special day.'You had no clue what you were getting yourself into again. A lot of things had happened when Luke moved to Quantico. A couple weeks after you broke up with him, you found out that you were a week pregnant.
You were only carrying a child for a few more weeks until you decided to get it aborted. You didn't want to share custody with a man who decided to leave you for his job. Impulsively, you started the process. You didn't even bother telling Luke because you were still angry at him for leaving. Even though you broke up with him, part of you wished that he wanted to work things out; but he didn't and here you are.
It was after the fact that Luke texted you is when you decided that you would go to the wedding just to tell him what you went through.
You found an attachment of the details for the wedding and it turns out that it was tomorrow. Luckily, you still had the dress that Luke bought you when you were still together. 'You looked amazing in this dress,' Luke had told you numerous times before.
It was a halter navy blue dress that showed cleavage and it was fitted just right for your body. The skirt flared out slightly and stopped above your knees. You had a pair of comfortable heels and a nice necklace that said had your name in gold. You would pair it with medium sized gold hoops.

You woke up feeling anxious as ever. You slipped on your dress and your heels and your jewelry. You got in your car and drove to the venue.
Everyone was there, and you just stood by yourself in the back. The wedding hymn started playing and everyone took their seats; you took yours in the back row.
You tune out most of the ceremony until the priest says the infamous words:
"If any of you have a problem with this couple getting married, speak now or forever hold your peace."This was your chance now. No one was standing up or saying anything, and so you did reluctantly. Everyone gasped as they saw you stand up and walk down the aisle towards Luke.
Luke's eyes widened as he saw you in his dress that he bought you.
"(y/n), what are you doing?" He asked you."Relax, I'm not objecting this marriage. They seem so happy together and I'm not about to mess that up, even though I messed mine up..." you trailed off, looking at Luke.
"Luke, I have something to say. And I thought you should know, even though it happened a long time ago." You looked at Luke, who had a confused look on his face. You couldn't blame him; you would be too if the roles were reversed.
"What? What is it that you have to say to me?" He demands with a harsh tone.
"Luke, I don't know how to say this any other way. But a few weeks after you left, I found out that I was pregnant with your child."Everyone gasps again and Luke's eyes dilate once more. "What? You... You were pregnant? Why didn't you tell me?" His face softens at the new information.
"You were gone. We were broken up already. Emotions weren't my friends back then." You reply simply.
"Wait, where's the child then?" Luke's wife asked, inserting herself into the conversation.
"It doesn't matter now." You mumble incoherently as you turned around to walk away.Luke's hand grasped your wrist. "(y/n), it does now. Where is my child?"
"It's not here. Not anymore." You start crying now.
"What do you mean? You said you're pregnant, and there should be..." He trailed off, realizing what you were just saying."You got an abortion?" He whispers, and all you could do was nod.
"Why did you do that? You should have told me about this! I would've moved back!" He starts scolding you."Luke, don't lie to yourself. We both know you wouldn't have moved back. Especially now." You gesture to ceremony being held at this moment. Which you completely forgot that the other guests were listening to you this entire time.
"I just came to wish you a better life and that I hope it's all worth it in the end." You say the last part with a harsh tone. Luke's face was full of mixed emotions. Hurt; surprised; sorrow. Maybe regret. Maybe even love.
You stepped up to the altar and cupped his face in your hands. You looked into his eyes and he into yours. You had dams holding back the tears, but seeing him now broke the dam. As your tears were falling freely, you brought your lips to his cheek and gave him a kiss there.
"Goodbye Luke. Just know that I'll always love you, no matter what. See you around..." and with that, you turned on your heel and walked out of the church and out of Luke's life.
Permanently? Maybe.
