jenn grabs her phone from the table beside her bed and unlocks it, revealing a picture of her and luke hugging.
she smiles slightly, and continues getting into her phone. as soon as her home page pops up, a notification appears at the top of her screen.
a text message from seth.
seth is jenn's boyfriend, who's currently going on a class trip to france.
the conversation reads:
seth: hey babe.
jenn: hi :)
seth: i miss you. :(
jenn: i miss you too.
jenn: when are you coming home??
seth: tomorrow. ;)
jenn: yay!! :)))
seth: gotta go baby, going to go see some landmark. it won't be as fun as texting you though. <3
jenn: k, bye babe :*
seth: bye :*
jenn locks her phone and pulls it to her chest. she can feel her rapid heartbeat through the metal.
she lets out a sigh. but just as she's about to stand up, her phone vibrates once again.
the text reads:
