Chapter 28 - We're on our way

Dawn's Pov

I yawned as we sneaked along the corridors. 

"Shush! Stop making too much noise!" Ash snapped. 

"I'm sorry IF I'M TIRED!" May held us back, "Guys, please. Get along." She sighed.

We broke out into the garden. The cold air hit me in the face. "Does anyone have a blanket?" I shivered. Ash glared, obviously thinking "What a spoilt brat." I glared back. Areceus help Misty, why did she fall in love with HIM? "I have some coats." May snapped my line of thought. "Yeah whatever, I'm not cold anymore. Just to prove him a point."

Ash and Serena put their hands out, making a perfect stepping place. They all looked over in my direction, so I gracefully lifted my foot and- fell flat on my face when I saw they were looking at May. "Sorry that had to happen to you, mud-face!" Gary laughed behind me. "Pardon?!" I snapped. "What you get for calling Misty freak all these months." I gulped. He caught me red handed. 

May giggled then lifted her leg and stepped on their hands. Serena looked like she was in pain, but Ash was perfectly fine. He's as strong as a boulder! May jumped up, over the fence. She landed on the ground, on pain what-so-ever. "How!?" I asked, "how can you do that?"

She remained silent. The rope, which she was just holding, landed in front of my face. "Go on, princess. We are all waiting for you." Ash sniggered. So I grabbed the- "Who's there!!?" A booming voice echoed. "Dawn, climb!!" Serena begged. I hulled myself up, climbing even though I was scared. I reached to the top of the fence. "JUMP!" May shouted. I fell, landing face first. But May caught me, being the best like always. Serena then landed, next to us. The dark figure was getting closer and closer to Ash and Gary. "Girls, run and get a head start. Iris will show you the way." Iris jumped down from a tree and grabbed my hand, "This way. Follow me." We ran, faster and faster. We got to a bike rack, where Iris grabbed hers.

"If it wasn't for Ash, me and May's would be okay." I groaned. May nodded in agreement. But that just made Iris grin more. "You're lucky my uncle runs the bike store. He let me borrow some." Out came three beautiful bikes. One fire red, one ice blue and one sunset pink. "They are beautiful!" I sighed. "That's why you have to take care of them."

We rode on. "Guys! Look at the fireworks!" I looked over my head, "May, that's an explosion. O-over at our...." I gulped, "school..."

"GUYS! Carry on riding!" I voice shouted. "Gary!" May whimpered, "Where's Ash?" Gary looked down, depressed. "Gary?" I lowered my voice. Sure Ash was an idiot, dense and the opposite of modest, but I don't want him to be injured. "That voice, was Paul. So they were having a battle. Then Paul takes out....Dialga." 

We all stare, frozen to our spot. Dialga? One of the Sinnoh Legendries? One of the trio which are...missing? What is going on? Wake up...wake up...Wake up Dawn!

"H-how?" I stutter. Everyone looks at me. "You're from Sinnoh, right?" Gary looks serious, sweat trickles down my face. "Y-yeah..." "Tell us everything you know."

I heard rustling in the trees above. I wanted to look, see if someone was sneaking up on us. But I was rooted to my spot. Unable to move my head around, I just start anyway.

"A while ago, I woke up to my mum shaking me awake. I realised that water was filling the room. Everywhere. My mum just simply cried and hugged me. I was confused, scared. My eyes darted to outside – to my window. Our village was flooded. Helicopters zoomed around in the sky. I opened the window. The voice of the mayor was loud and clear. They told us how to escape to somewhere safe while they figure out what was going on. We climbed out onto the roof, where it wasn't flooded. The news people informed us that Dialga and the other two were suddenly missing. The flood and them going missing happened at the same time. Our town was in danger, we couldn't live underwater. So we had to move. Move away to Kanto. That's why I'm here, not The Sinnoh High." I gulp in sadness. My old home. That was also the day my cousin went missing, but I think she just ran away. I saw her running away that morning. The research that our neighbours did, had some good results. The results are that the legendries won't be used for evil. So why would someone take them? Or did they just run away? I don't know. But...Paul?

"Is that why you moved?" A voice behind me sternly spoke. I finally turned around. "Who are you?" Serena asked like she had saw an old enemy. "Oh me? None of your business. That's who." "Tell me who you are." Gary glared. They shrugged, "Oh pretty boy thinks he can get me to tell him?" Gary pushed them over, "If you aren't telling us who you are, leave us alone." They got up from the ground, head down. I saw them walk away, fists clenched. "It's fine. I'll leave. No one ever wants me." Tears dropped down to the ground. "Let's go." Gary grabbed us by the shoulders. "Ha! You think I'll go just because someone wants me to?" Gary sighed and turned around "you again." "I never give up!" They walked closer. "What about those tears?" I spat, like venom was in my tongue. 

They shook their head at me, like I was a disappointment. "You know me Dawn! Always faking to get my way. Although this time it didn't work...maybe I didn't realise something important was going on! Anyway, did I seem threatening and scary?" They laughed. I looked confused. "Who are you?" I clenched my fists, ready for the worst. Their fingers took down their hood. 

"Mallow!" I hugged her tight, "you scared me." Gary looked like one of those anime characters, sweat dropping. Oh yeah, he is one.

"You guys looking for a certain red-head? I know where she is! Follow me!" We rode into the dark, our mission officially starting. Serena and Gary went to Ash while me and May followed an old friend - and Iris followed, excited, jumping tree to tree.
