Published 4/19/19"No, I'm ok, he didn't do much" I whispered to kirishima shocked by what just happened.
Kirishima had protected me from a pervert. I looked down at the ground, feeling my cheeks heat up.
My heart also spead up, my grip on my bag tightened. "Thank you" I mumbled out.
I felt his chest rumble against my back. Signaling he was chuckling. "It's not a problem, that's what friend's are for right? To look out for one another!" He exclaimed gaining the other passengers attention on the train.
My whole body went rigid in shock. He had considered me a friend. I... I didn't know what to do. I can't have friends .
His eyes remind me to much of my families killer. Even though they held warmth and kindness.
But I know kirishima didn't kill them because his quirk is hardening not ice.
I let myself relax again. "Ha guess your right" I mumbled.
For the next 5 minutes, me and kirishima didn't really talk. We kinda just stayed quiet with me pressed against him, protecting me from getting pushed around by other passengers.
I didn't need protection but the idea of knowing someone cares enough for you, to want to protect you kinda warms my stone cold heart.
I had felt an emotion I had not felt in years. I felt at peace and truely relaxed.
The train soon came to a stop and kirishima and I got off. During the ride it had stopped raining. The sky was now a few shades lighter with the rain clouds disappearing into the distance. The only thing saying it had rained was the puddles that covered ground.
After about a 20 minutes walk we had reached my apartment building. I stood at the bottom of the steps that lead to the front door. I turned to Kirishima.
"Thank you for walking home with me kirishima" I said in a quite voice.
His eyes lit up and a small tint of pink covered his cheeks. He scratched the back of his head with a big smile. "Hey, it was no problem, I had fun spending time with you, we should do this again".
I felt a small urge to smile at the taller red head boy.
"I also had fun, I agree we should do this again, would you like to walk together to school tomorrow"I asked him?
His face brightened up like a child on Christmas day. "OH YA" he exclaimed in excitement. "I'll see you tommorow kirishima, and thank you again for walking me home and helping me on the train, I owe you one" I waved at him walking up the steps.
As I reached the third step I felt myself slip on the smooth wet stone. I let out a gasp in shock as I felt myself start to fall backwards. My eyes shut tightly as I waited for an impact that never came.
Instead I felt an arm wrap around my back and a hand grasp my own.
