in this one shot leo and charlie are taking a break from bam and they have been dating for 4 years and they have kids that they adopted. just so you know.

20 year old leondre was sitting at the kitchen counter on a bar stool. he put merlin and Gabriella charlie and his son and daughter to bed hours ago. leo sighed and looked st his phone clock to see it was 3:30 am. he didn't come home again leo thought to himself sad. leo got up from the stool and walked up the stairs trying not to make noise to wake gabby and merlin. leo walked in his and charlies bedroom. he sat down on the bed that was meant for two people but only ever had one person, and that one person was leo.

leo called charlie but it went straight to voicemail. once he heard the beep he spoke with a  shaky voice, "hey charlie, um, it's me, i uh, i'm worried it's 3am and you're still not home. please call me, i love you ceejay." then he pressed end call. leo locked his phone and laid down on his side covering himself with the blanket. he stared sadly into nothing. he's gonna come back leo, he is. leo said trying to reassure himself but in the back of his mind he doubted his positive thoughts. leo fell asleep eventually but his mind was still wide awake thinking and worrying about charlie.

charlie is in his car driving like always. he's been driving for so long his legs are numb and his hands hurt from the gripping the steering wheel. he doesn't know where he's going though. he's driving down the empty streets and thinking. about things.  he doesn't know why but he doesn't wanna go home, doesn't wanna see or the kids. he loves them but he doesn't wanna see them. i know, doesn't make sense to him either.

he soon sees bright lights and sees a restaurant outside and a band playing outside and a crowd. he gets out of his car locks it and walks towards the place. after the concert ends he looks at the time on his phone and sees it's 5:45 am. he starts feeling sleepy but doesn't wanna drive to hotel because that would be dangerous. he sees a group of girls and walks over to them.

"excuse me can i stay with you girls?" he asks them with a smirk. "sure" one of the girls said with a smirk of her own.

leo wakes up because the sunlight is literally blinding him. he squints his eyes and gorans rolling over to the other side of the bed. he reaches out assuming charlies laying next to him but he when he feels nothing he opens his eyes to his grasping air. charlie didn't come home. leo is about to cry but stops himself when he hears little feet running into the bedroom, merlin who is 4 and Gabriella who is 7 run over to leo and jump on his lap giggling happily.

"good morning daddy" merlin and Gabriella exclaimed in unison. "hi my babies!" leo said happily while smiling. "where's dada?" they asked smiling at their dad. leo frowned for a second but quickly smiled again so the kids wouldn't worry, "uh he's on hie way right now he just told me on the phone he wants to surprise you when he comes home." leo felt horrible lying to the kids but he couldn't tell them charlie didn't come home, again.

"ooh whats the surprise?" Gabriella and merlin asked in unison excited. "you'll just have to see" leo said with a grin on his face. "awe man" they said pouting. leo giggled at their cuteness. "come on who wants to help me with breakfast?" leo said picking up Gabriella and merlin off his lap and putting them on his hips instead. "me!" they yelled excited while shooting their hands up in the air.
