They are out with their friends when Dennise noticed that Alyssa's been quite most of the time.
You see, Alyssa is the clown of the squad. She knows how to make everyone laugh, from her self depricating jokes to random commentaries and hugots. Yes, she's doing all those, but something's unusual.
"You good?" Dennise texted. Alyssa's sitting across the table. Her phone buzzed and Alyssa only replied with a thumbs up. She looked up to see Ly, but the latter's engaged on a conversation with Amy.
Their lunch ended sooner than they expected. They've been together for hours, pero time really does fly when you're having fun.
"I'll drive Dennise home. So you guys can go back to uni na." Alyssa said to Ella and Amy.
"You sure?" Kiwi asked.
"Yeah, hatid mo na lang si madam since mas on the way yung place nila papunta sa freeway that you're heading." Alyssa answered.
"Alright. Paano ba yan? Next week ulit ah." Amy said and they all nodded, giving hugs to each other before leaving.
"Do you have any place you want to go?" Alyssa asked before starting her car.
"Hmm. Anywhere? I don't know, Ly. Kahit saan. I just don't want to go home yet. Okay lang ba?" Dennise said.
"Of course." Alyssa answered with a smile.
The car ride is quiet. There are times na ganito naman sila, but Dennise doesn't know why it's bugging her. The whole time that they were together sa restau hindi siya tinitignan ni Alyssa, except when she's asking a question in which the latter would answer the question in a way na mahihirapan si Dennise dugtungan pa.
"Ly, is everything okay?" Dennise asked.
"Yeah, bakit?"
"You're really quiet."
"I'm a quite person, Dennise. You know that."
Dennise. It's the second time today that Alyssa called her by her first name and di siya sanay. Alyssa always call her Denden and she's the only one who's allowed to call her that.
"But you're unusually quite today. Are you sure na okay ka lang?"
"I'm just sleepy, that's all."
"You should've slept instead. Bring me home na lang."
"Nah, it's fine." Alyssa said and sighed, "Reality are better than my dreams."
"What?" Dennise asked, puzzled by Alyssa's answer.
Alyssa chuckled before answering, "Wala. I'm just talking nonsense. I'm fine. Don't worry."
They spend the day driving around, going to every mall that's near them and getting coffee. Even though Alyssa hates driving Dennise home, she can't help but smile whenever the latter tells her "ingat" before she leaves because she can see how Dennise's features softens, especially her eyes.

It's 2 in the morning and Alyssa's awake... again. She took her phone and started typing a message, hoping that maybe if she put her thoughts into words, her mind would be at peace.
I rather spend time with you than go to sleep, for reality are better than my dreams. I've been dreaming about you lately, Den.
You were clingy in my dreams. You would hold my hand while I drive or lean your head on my shoulder whenever we're sitting next to each other.
I know it's not gonna happen, kasi we both know naman that I'm the clingy one between the two of us, and you don't like clingy that's why I barely do it with you, but it's fine. What's important to me is that now you're with me. I get to spend time with you. I get to actually hear you laugh.
I think I missed you that much that's why I keep on dreaming about you. Yeah, yeah, I know, ang clingy ko talaga kahit nag-kita naman tayo nung Monday last week, pero miss na agad kita.
I hate it when I wake up every morning after dreaming about you and you're not beside me. I hate that I have to wait a week before I can see you again because our schedules don't match. But you're always worth the wait. Because you make my reality better than my dreams.
Alyssa sighed after reading her message for Dennise.
But she never send it.
