The book goblin (helluo librorum) is a curious little creature. No one quite knows where they came from and they are rarely seen, but their presence can often be felt in book-filled houses. These beings feed, for lack of a better word, on the energy on unread books. They are known to subtly influence people to buy new books, even though they have several unread ones at home. While they start of their existence rather small, they can reach up to one meter in height. The only known way to ensure your house is free of these strange creatures is to force themselves to read everything they have home before buying more books. Or don't because it's always nice to have more to read and they are mostly harmless. Mostly.
